wow will die in couple ways but the only way it will truely die is if someone blows up blizzards servers lol.
the other way is will over time but please everyone post your ideas i wanna hear it all from how much of moron u think i might be all the way to aliens own blizzard and wow will never die.

Age of Conan should do the trick
AoC is not even going to dent the subs in WoW. Warhammer will do some damage but will also not take over WoW. WoW is a beast, a beast that cannot be killed. Where these one bored player that leave, 10 more join.

I have played every MMO that has ever come out.
When someone decides to listen to and back me financially. I've got a WoW killer ready to program, just need manpower and money, more manpower than money.
As a small time programmer it DOES NOT cost metric shit tons of money to make anything. Just time, manpower (obviously you need to be able to pay those people though), and the will to do it.

Well bro, it's like this. WoW will never truly die. It will simply carry on as a husk of it's former self, supported by the hardcore raider who have given their souls too it, into oblivion. You know, the same thing that's happened to EQ.

yes that is true wow sucks souls out of everyone thats why its also called warcrack or world of warcrack. it just so hard to stop playing.
The only thing that will kill WoW is time, WAR and AoC may be big in North America but there are many many players in China.
It is a great strategic plan that AoC has no chance of even phasing. Will AoC be good, probly but neither AoC or WAR are the WoW killers.
Yeah everything in China is "dirt cheap" when you're paid in $ / £ / E etc.

WOW will never die becuse of AOC.
1.Wow will keep the kids, and the easy play.
2.AOC will rais in time, but its for the grown players not the kids.
In other words AOC will be a game for 1 type of players, some form wow, daoc ect - type of games. And wow will stay what it is. The only thing thats can and will remove players form wow will be WH.

WAR has a better chance the AOC due to the fact is WH has been around 25 years and is also world wide but right now only time will tell yeah wow will stay around, it will become the new everquest 1 thats what will happen unless blizzard makes something really special. For love of god i hope they dont do ingame housing, guild hall could see that but player house no.
One thing you have to Understand.. AOC shouldnt Effect WoW their 2 different types of Genra Mmorpgs. they have completely Different appeals. im not saying it wont effect it any.. but not as much as you would think. WoW is a Brand name (Warcraft). people play WoW because its a Fantasy based world of Humans,elfs,orcs,dwarfs (amung the top percentage of the atmosphere that alot of gamers have come to love). Where AOC is still a Fantasy based mmorpg, but it follows a Different Trend to target different aspect of players.. i mean Cmon its Conan.. hehe.
I belive the most likely and "Logical" game that would even remotely come the closest to effectign this game would be Warhammer, hence its a Slight mirage of WoW (although Warhammer developed this trend way before Warcraft did, just incase anyone tried to say they stole anything from Blizzard).. and the key think about Warhammer that will effect Warcraft is @Mythic Entertainments@ "Infamouse" R-V-R System... it was proven with Daoc its among the best PvP system and mechanics. and you cannot deny a Mythological Fantasy based mmorpg based upon similar theme as WoW except Ran by Mythic and their PvP system they will indeed do some serious Damage to Warcrafts Subscriptions. Warhammer probaly woulda came out with a Mmorpg before WoW did.. but their smart.. they developed a game where they could test and be successful with PvP and combat systems that game was known as DAOC, and how successful it was.. So in other Words while their competitor Warcraft rushed in and made their MMorpg. WAR sat back and did research testing and implimenting Pvp Game mechanics on DAOC before attempting it with WAR. not that all their homework is done theyve seen how Successful their type of genra mmorpg will do. and the time has come for them to step up and claim their Throne as the best mmorpg in the genra of Orc/elves/human/dwarfs. Of coarse LotRo falls into this category. i dont think they will be put down by WAR but i belive they will get alot of switchovers. but for wow.. theyll prolly take 1/2 of their subs upon release.. because in WoW people play the game for the theme and pvp mostly, and with a pvp in the same genra setting but with RvR.. it will be almost impossible for them to bare with WoW's PvP system!
What will be the WoW killer? The answer is simple, because it kills everything. Time will kill WoW. It won't happen fast, and it won't be soon but time will kill it. WoW is the "It" game right now, and it will hold on with sheer numbers for years to come. But it will not last forever. Nothing does.
