people needs to stop talking crap about why its going to flop. i would say play open beta on may 1st and see how it is, if its crap then say its crap .but if you never played and keep on talking down about the game then it shows what kind of person you are,.
For people who does not know if they should per-order the game, like i said play may1st. don't always listen to people.. play for yourself ,see what you like about the game, everything i have heard or saw about this game made me really happy. but i am still going to play the beta to see if this game is something i want to play and spend my time on.
And yes bugs are going to be in the game/but its how FC can fix them bugs

There are quite a few people out there who have reasons to dislike this game. Most haters come from other games and just really worried because even in Beta AoC looks so much better then their game.
What people need to realise is that there is plenty of room in the industry for lots more mmo's there is going to be no impact to theirs so whats the point in putting down games you have no clue about? human nature, and alot of these kids get jealous easy.

Yea pride in one game is one thing but there really is no reason to hate or bash all others. I mean the more games that come out that are of great quality the better for us, the gamers. We shouldn't be ready to bash a game at the drop of a hat because it is different then our own current favorite but instead try to find ways to help boost it as well. When all games are produced with quality communities and products we all win.
We're not going to know the game is a flop or not till maybe six months out from release. That's how it is for most mmo's I think, with some exceptions.
Whatever launches will be the starting point, and then we will see what the devs do with that and how the community responds. But barring major technical problems that are gamebreaking that's how it will probably play out.
As for the other stuff, yeah there are some WAR trolls, just as there are plenty of AoC trolls, so lets not fight about that. Everything you said in this thread has been said over and over in multiple threads, hence my "Captain Obvious" comment

you might as well ask people to stop living. as long as we are alive we are going to talk about things.
AoC has about 50% more people who applied for beta than wow had. Of course back then that was a larger percentage of the overall gamer numbers.
But it does indicate that initial sale numbers might be huge. After that it comes down to whether or not people are having fun.
Most people who played wow loved their first months more than any other MMO experience they had and that was the true key to the game's success.
So it will be impossible to predict the games subscriber numbers yet. If the beta aplicants to account ratio will be the same as for wow then within 2-3 months of release the game will have over a million accounts. But how many of those that will stay on is impossible to predict.
