Blizzard's massive hiring frenzy.

Blizzard was hiring, and still are for a new "Next-Gen MMO" that's very hush-hush.
There were many debates on what this could be and those are:
1. "Diablo 3"
2. Some kind of "Super World of Warcraft Expansion"
3. "World of Warcraft 2"
No connection to the first one meaning new engine, graphics, gameplay.
(Many people said this is stupid because they would be competing with themselves over subscriptions)
My personal favourite:
4. "Starcraft MMO" I so want this. I want to be a Apprentice Dark Templar ninjaing little linglings.
5. New lore. Not any of the previous lore's Blizzard is famous for. (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo)
I'm sure it could be anything. MMO doesn't have to be a RPG.
Please don't write one sentence replies such as "OH EM GEE DIABLO 33333?!?!"
If you'd like to contribute ideas you may but, please keep it reasonable. (Such as between the 3 lores)
Also some real information would be greatly appreciated. (e.g interviews with clues, articles, etc, etc.)

(But that other thread is so useless in my opinion, just "My friend works at Blizz and he/she says its Diablo3/Starcraft Related" posts.)

But in general. They wont compete with their own game, they won't make a new game. Everytime they have tried it (sc: Ghost anyone?) It failed apparently. I would love a D3, but only made by the former group of blizz north.

If they aren't making a new game why would they hire people on the pretense of a "Next-Gen MMO".
Also, they announced (I believe) that the "Next-Gen MMO" is NOT "Wrath of the Lich King.
I'm sure that it's either Diablo lore or a new lore. (Or no lore at all)
The people who created Diablo II are gone. "Hellgate : London" Is by the creators who created Diablo II and in my opinion not that great.

-Vivendi the parent company of Blizzard announces that Diablo 3, (whenever it comes out) it will definitely be a MMORPG. (A lot of people are hating this idea as Diablo II is a hack and slash, which I agree with)
Blizzard is making a new MMO. I wonder...
Maybe their making a new franchise, you can only milk the 3 they have for so long.
Plus who knows what activison has/had up their sleeve, and would release it under the blizzard name.

What do you mean Activision? Are they apart of the Vivendi group?
I don't think there will be a WoW2 yet, but a Starcraft MMO wouldn't be a bad idea. They wouldn't really be competing against themselves, as the game probably wouldn't be done for another 2-3 years, and by then alot of people will be done with WoW anyway.
I think they realize they have to start working on something brand new sooner or later, because other companies will. And better technology will eventually make WoW outdated.
I'm pretty sure Blizzard is making a new MMO.
It makes no sense rehashing their old IP's over and over.
Starcraft is a RTS, it will always be best as a RTS
The only reason WoW was able to be made into a good MMO was because Warcraft is Dwarves/Trolls/Elves.....etc. Very easy to make into a MMO.
There is no reason to make Diablo into a MMO, there simply isn't enough lore to fill a thimble. So much would have to be created for a Diablo MMO that saving the IP for another action title makes more sense.
Personally I am keeping an eye on Square Enix since the developers of FFXI are currently at work on their next title, and it will be awesome.
They are working on their new mmo,starcraft2,Wotlk and diablo 3 so they are very busy
I don't know where to begin so I just start typing my thoughts.
Problem with diablo 3 as mmo would be, that I think it would be just wow copy with diablo lore. If they however will make d3mmo and come up with some new idea to combine hack&slash into MMO it would be awsome. What little I played Hellgate: London, it didn't difference much with the d2 bnet system in idea. Instead of chatting in regular chat window and then join game with people, you just chat ingame as your character and then go into a private instance(or solo ofcourse). Not sure if this changes in the further of the game, but that was my impression.
what comes to WoW and WoW2. Eventually they will make WoW2, because it would be redicilous to make expansions so that characters are lvl 1000 with +1000000 dmg increase. game won't change anyhow in that way. everyone just have more HP and armor so the percentages would stay the same as if you had like 1000hp with no extra damage or something like that. So before it comes to that, they will make WoW2 to start over with. (and hopefully with loads of new ideas)
Starcraft could be turned into MMO aswell. you don't need to have those dwarves and trolls and such. I believe it would turn out to be somewhat like tabula rasa. Not a bad idea IMO.
Eventually Blizzard has to come up with new lore. They can't keep collecting our money with same old much longer. Maybe they even leave old ones into past?
So like I wrote at the begin, I just typed my thoughts. Hope you get something out of the mess.
