Download Question

Got a small question about the Funcom Donwloader for the PVP weekend (if the title isn't obvious enough)

I've basically almost finished downloading... I just get a small error when it's basically finished. I've installed all the components of the client and I'm just about ready to enter AoC. But now I have this "Converting Resource Files" thing coming in my way.... I have no idea what it's for... if someone can explain what exactly that means, I would appreciate it. The first time it popped up, it seemed to work fine. It did it's thing, and told me to restart the client. I did, but then it came up again. Now it's up for it's second time and appears to not be doing anything, as in the progress bar is not going anywhere, unlike last time. Is this what everyone's has done, and if so, how long does it generally take? Should I just cancel it and restart the client to see if that fixes anything?

Any sort of feedback is appreciated.

did you correctly extract the files when you first downloaded the files?

It sounds like it has just stalled so you could just restart, though maybe someone else will have encountered it before and will answer.

judging by both of your responses, I guess this isn't what usually happens with the downloads

yeargh... I did remove it via windows task manager and restarted, yet it really isn't doing much different. Same thing, except this time the bar does appear to have moved an inch, but nothing more. I hope someone who has encountered this before or someone who is famliar with this can tell me how I would be able to get past it or have it function properly... or at least shed some insight.

I have had this problem(but not with this d/l) and it was just it stalling that is why I said just to restart it,on times I have had to restart quite a few times for it to work.

Interesting... but to be honest I have no idea if it is actually functioning at a correct speed or not, because this is the first time I have downloaded something for it to have to convert it's own files. At the moment it's going at about 1% an hour... which is bad. Does this generally take an incredibly long time or is it usually a short process?

    It should go quick quickly.
