this sounds SWEET...apparently, there's necromancer spells that will spawn pets when they cause a fatality.
I don't know about you guys, but I find that to be pretty damn sweet.
This thread also gives some good info on a few of the pets available to necros, including their unique abilities (i.e. the ability to heal the group, etc)

Well that might explain why my necro in PvE spawned 2 rocky giant monsters out of no where and I was only lvl 2. But i didnt cast any spell, they just came out of no where, im not sure though.
