Are we running out of oil or not? A poll tells us absolutly nothing. I just read somthing the other day of how much or the world has not been explored for oil. Who is right? Is this just scare tactics? They said the same things about oil in the 1970s but this time is supposed to be for real.

no shit. i saw that when i opened up my browser a lil while ago.
someone, or some entity paid a polling business to ask that question. it was probably a politician. the designer of our debates to know better how to steer the populace. there is so much untouched land. the answer is simply no.
chips, dips chains & whips.
oil is the economic problem, rather is a country policy problem.. we are just the dust in the society. it won't be changed by our thoughts. don't you think so?
im not sure i understand. are you suggesting we take up real arms, or voting arms?

It is really a economic problem, but we can do nothing now, Economics is a playing tool of politicians.

I don't understand either. To simplify what was in the original post........if a poll shows 100% of people in the world think we are almost out of oil, it still doesn't mean we are almost out of oil. A poll shouldn't even be news.
agree!! we couldn't do anything about it. just save oil...please take bus...even on foot... if you could ..
I'm sure there's a few untapped sources still to be found. Perhaps it's under some tribal burial grounds, which we'll have to dig up and discard, but it'll be worth it in the end. After all, we do have Coca-Cola to offer them in trade.
It's pretty funny how China is making a play for a large share of the OIL Sands in Canada. If they get it, then Canada will be making loads off of China - who then loans us money so we can buy oil from Saudi Arabia/Iraq. It's a good thing to opt out of business with a country as close as Canada, I mean as volatile as that region is. Plus, they say wired shit like 'eh.
There is no end of oil left in the world.
In fact there is now more than ever.
The problem is the amount of oil that is economically viable to exploit.
As prices rise, oil sources that were previously not considered to be exploitable are now viable.
These vary from bio oil, smaller oil fields, more remote oil fields, less pure oil wells, oil fields in political unstable regions even to oil reclamation from beaches.
We aren't running out of oil, we are running out of cheap oil.
