Beta, anyone else having a hard time?

I have a beta key and for some reason I can not sign in to activate my key.  Is there anyone else having the same issue?  If not please tell me what I might me doing wrong.

    Wondered myself for a while)

    You just need to "sign up" first, and only then enter your beta-key, using login and password you entered while "signing up" =)

    When I tried activating my beta key, it said that it has already been used. I'm awaiting someone from support to contact me, seems a few people, even staff members have looked at my post on the thread, but aren't responding.

    Once you go go whack, you'll never go back.

    That's funny cause the email I got said you didn't need to sign up for anything, just enter your code at the bottom. Eh, will see later when I download the game.

    Well i received my key from mmorpg.com then i went to the main florensia website clicked the link to activate my key.

     

    I then entered my username i wanted with the password i wanted and my beta key then i submited and everythign went true fine.

     

    By the way that username and password will be your in-game login

    My experience with this game so far seems like nothing but blocking and suckage.

     

    First I signed up for an account.  I never got the confirmation info.  Researching on the boards said if you had this sort of problem read the FAQ.  You can't read the FAQ without signing in.  There is no way to get support if you can't sign in, no support email or anything available without an account.  Re-registering didn't help.  Asking for that username again, said it was registered.  Sending the confirmation email again said it was sent, yet I got nothing.  (And, yes, I'm sure I put in the right email address -- it was even autocompleted in my browser).

     

    So I downloaded the patcher/client.  The patcher was missing a common DLL, so I copied it for one of the other five games on my system that use it.

    Finally the patcher came up.

    The patcher is entirely in Japanese.  The start button and exit button is in English.  Real friendly guys -- it would take about an hour to localize this if you programmed it right to begin with.

     

    After patching for a long time, the patcher hung on the last file. 

    I hit exit and tried again.  After looking at my files, it tried to patch two files.  Only patched one.  Hung.

    Rinse and repeat.

    So much for my beta experience.  I can't get in.  I can't ask for help.  I'm simply wasting a buttload of time and a bunch of disk space on this.

    I am unable to install Florensia because of problems with disk space?

    The installer requires 4GB free space on drive C even if you want to install the game on another drive.



    Is it correct that the Patch Client is in Japanese?

    Yes, it's correct. The Patch Client isn't translated yet.



    The Patch Client is stuck at the last file, what happened?

    We know about this problem. Go to your Florensia Folder, go into the "/bin" Folder and delete (move to SysWOW64 folder with Vista 64-bit) the following two files. msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll and then start patcher again. Also make sure that path in shortcut is correct (execute in).



    The patcher says the file mfc71.dll is missing?

    That's a known problem of Windows.  Just put it into the C:WindowsSystem32 Folder (32-bit system) or C:WindowsSysWOW64 Folder (64-bit-system). This file is part of MS Visual Studio .NET and sometimes missing.

    Can I start Florensia in window mode?

    Just activate the button in the lower left corner of the patcher.



    Already known bugs and workarounds:

    - English texts are raw and directly taken from the Japanese translation, that means they are still being worked on, including the names of monsters/items/npcs. We are working on the language issue, so please keep that in mind when playing!

    - You have to change the title in the fleamarket before selling items, otherwise the client crashes.

    - When sound or items are missing, skills hang up or graphics are wrong, just restart client.



    Key reactivation

    Reactivate the keys for your accounts just like you did the last time to be able to play.



    Unable to login with account/pass even after activation with special activation key

    If you have resetted your password at alaplaya-website, please reset password again and it will work. Otherwise search florum for other solutions.



    CB II languages

    CB II is in corrected english and the other 7 languages are already in work for the OB.

    The next CB will start on April 18th around 2pm and will be on longer than a week.

    There will be no wipe this time, all characters will stay as is.

    Thanks so much!  Now, maybe if I send my issue with registering to that email address, they'll be able to fix that and I can take my test drive!

    I had to sign up to activate the key. Any time I tried activating it beforehand it said that something was invalid.

    I've downloaded the game, but haven't installed it and I'm a bit wary to do so after hearing about these, apparently well known, problems.

    I did that and i get an error that those files are missing, i put them back and the patcher is still stuck on that last file.

    yep all that goes for me too but i also dont have beta key O.o so hard to get in -.-
