I'm pretty much just adding on to what everybody has said here. From reading all the posts and responses from the general beta testers (im a tech tester) we pretty much have seen nothing yet. Level 20 cap is probably the equiv of being level 20 vs a 70 in wow. Most of the gb testers say that the pvp minigames are a ghostland because world pvp is 10 times more fun. The fact that there aren't factions or sides means 10 neutral guys running into each other in a zone is a brawl fest which is out of control fun. The pve content also seems to be really interesting with instances that can be done in heroic mode similar to wow for the extra challenge, yet easy enough without heroic mode to duo with a friend. I'm glad that aoc has been getting somewhat positive reviews after the pvp weekend, and I can't wait to see what happens when we hit 80 and mess with the feat trees and get better gear.

    The necromancer:

The skill "you" used to rais one more Base pet, is a change for one of your spells to activate it if the eney falls. The same goes for the other "specail" pet, the one you didt not get to have, allso a necro spell that have the chance to activat that this pet will rais.

Beside that, yes the necromancer seem nice, in range and in close combat. But still " No " his damge in spells are waek, for solo play against players. But in the right grp, the necromancer er deadly.

What will happen latter on i the game "we from the pvp weekend" dont know, but the skills and the abilitys he will get seem damn nice.

The skill that specialy make the necromancer deadly in close combat is his more or less instent area weakness/ damge nuke.

     the necromancer.

I did that in Vanguard, ... :D   In Vanguard is not usefull to cheat, because you can't shot from inside a solid.

I guest once the AoC Dev's  know about this exploit, will modified the shot code, to make it not work if start from a solid.  Will be a small change in something like   isVisible( target ).

Really fixing that bug will be harder, because could be more about how the game work (the basic architecture) than a small bug.   Is a complex problem, and thats why all games have a  /stuck command, you never really fix all collision bugs.

Have you reported that bug with teh report tool?

No offense man, but you obviously either are good at self-delusion or just havent been around many mmo launches.  Your little text describes just about 99.99999999999% of all mmo launches. Welcome to the world of mmos and pretty much all other software out there.

Thumbs-up to Funcom for trying something slightly different from your average crapfeast mmo.

Get real !  of course i know their are bugs in mmorpg. AOC will be no different than Vanguard in short ,you will be paying to beta test a game that is no where  near ready for release.

Hey you guys who are Necro fans see that video on Youtube with the team of Necros just wasting the other team in a BG? They had all their pets out, and some that summon from procs, etc. They just wasted the other team. It was funny as hell.
One guy goes 'omfg, I'm not even touching this guy. My pets are raping him.' LMAO

Anyway, the 'reviews' from the PvP weekend have been almost overwhelmingly positive. There are a few here or there that just didn't enjoy it, and a few trolls and sour fanbois of other MMOGs who are just spewing garbage like that one dude above me. But it appears folks are LOVING AoC. And they've barely scratched the surface of it.
Who says i was not in the beta weekend? get  your head out of your ass for a minute idiot. What has a bunch of necro owning everything got to do with this topic?. AOC imo looks like guildwars  and plays similar to wow.

The reviews have been overwhelmingly positive? you are in denial ,seriously their are tons of bad reviews about this weekend .

A bug where you can walk through the wall and still kill people is actually a rather major bug.   Regardless of the client's 'age' allowing the NDA to be lifted while a bug like that is in place isn't a shining example of readiness for release next month.

Hopefully the bugs and glitches that people are 'glossing over' or completely leaving out in their supposedly objective reviews will be fixed.  I don't hate AoC, I won't be playing it (its just not the style of MMO im looking for), but I still wish it well we really need more types of MMOs to succeed so the market can continue to evolve.

Kudos to Funcom for taking a huge risk on lifting the NDA with the PvP weekend.

I tried exploating that bug today.

I tried at several different locations and I couldn't clip through the wall no matter how hard I tried.

It did happen to me once yesterday but thats all.

The guy that made this vid found a bug and reporrted it but as far as I can tell, you need 20+ tries to succed in clipping through the wall.

So if you need to repeat a process 20 times to gain possible exploits it is not a major bug, and the fact remeains that this is beta and now that the bug was found, the bug will be fixed. I do not see any problems.

Anyway the client they let us play is suppose to be an old build right? So for all we know they may have already fixed that bug a long time ago in their current build of the game and maybe forgot to fix it in the one we tried over the weekend.

No way this game launches as bad as Vanguard. I'm banking on some bugs and some crapiness, this is the same company that released AO   I keed, I keed.

Vanguard was a failure cascade.  The multiple testimonials on this board alone convince me that the game is ready for release. Sure, some high end content may be absent, fine by me. I could care less if the power grinders hit level cap and sit around bored.
