It is definatley worth the money ... for what is only a few dollars a month, you get an awesome world with a fairly mature (in age) base of players (due to the need for a credit card) ... so you get very little/no swearing in chat, little/no griefing, loads of people who want to help you enjoy the game and a game that gets updated with new creatures, dungeons, quests, and all sorts of content each and every month.

This for me makes it easily worth a few dollars. Within the last year I have played well over 1200 hours in this game, and if you allow for the fact that I may have payed around $170 in total for this, I see it as exceptionally good value for money.

" i mean its like buying the game over and over again. Just wanted to say that :) "

They add monthly content to the game plus there is a cost to maintain the internet infrstructure required. Some months you get just a bit of content, some months you get alot. As an example in september, we pratically got a mini expansion for free.

I think any MMORPG is worth the monthly cost if you enjoy yourself. Think about the money you spend a month on renting videos, going out to see movies, etc. Those last a few hours. MMORPG provides hours upon hours of entertainement.

The average MMORPG players spend 20 hours a week playing. Thats over 80 hours a month of entertainement wich comes out at 17 cents an hour. Can you find cheaper entertainement? Even at 40 hours per month, its still a very good value.

The fact is also, I play alot longuer with a MMORPG then I would with a single player game. How many times have you spent 50$ on a game only to finish it in a few weeks.

If you don't want to pay for games don't buy anything that says internet connection required or that is labled on www.mmorpg.com as a mmorpg cause the O means Online.

Absolutely worth the money, with constant content being added every month, things that in many other games would require you to buy an expansion pack come free with your monthly subscription.

The dev team has given us so many wonderful things each month that it is like paying for new content each month. =)  There are huge changes made to the world each patch including dungeons, forts, mounts, new skills, etc. and it is very enjoyable.  It is definately worth the money.  I have been playing since Dec. 02.

With Heroes and Hero Content, and the all new Crafting 2.0 system....

At least download the freetrial, 15days to check it out per .NET account (valid email address only req) definately enough people around to help you get started in game (and yes, CD-Key activates your trial account so you keep your toons)

Game is definately worth the money.  I have been playing since beta and it has come a very long way from it's unstable launch.  Now with character rebalancing and crafting 2.0 now completed, it's a much better place.  Now that there are additional staff hired/being hired for the live team, there should be a marked increase in monthly content in the future.

Turbine is definatly commited to this game as they are in the initial stages of putting together an expansion pack.

I love it.  I pay for 2 accounts that i run from the same PC.  I am the Monarch of my guild, and once you immerse yourself in the lore and the gameplay you truly see what a wonderful product Turbine has manufactured.

I am currently running a trial. When i first started the game, i almost didnt understand anything. But, then i just asked a guy i met, and he gave me all the basics i needed, just like "No problem mate :)". 2 things i noticed at once: 1. Awesome graphics!! True eye candy. 2. Very nice people, spread out on the entire world you play in. After playing some days, i noticed the roleplay part. I was searching for a good Roleplay game, and i surely found it. I give the game an overall rating to 9, and definly worth the money. The reason i dont put it at 10 is that u are kinda limited when it comes to PvP. You cannot be a true "bad guy", like a thief or something. That's what makes games true. PvP is a must have for roleplay games( EVE Online made that part good, but too bad the roleplay part wasnt good). Why not get the 15-days trial guys? You like roleplay, u better try this game :)

Frostfell used to be (and as far as I know still is) the preferred server for roleplaying guilds.  Though the ratio of roleplayers may have gone down since other servers have been merged with it.  I play on Frostfell and have run into numerous roleplayers, including myself ;)

This game is well worth 13$ a month. Is there another game out there that gives monthly(now bi-monthly)content ? I can seriously scrounge up 13 dollars in change from my couch a month to pay for this game image

Even with the now bi-monthly patches its still a great game, I guess the population is the only downfall....

The game is worth it, to me, for about 6/12 months per year. I usually find myself bored and cancel my subscription for a few months at a time to allow the content to catch up with my characters. Then when I come back I thoroughly enjoy it for 2 months and start to become bored again..
