Lineage ][ - DO NOT EVEN TRY

in Lineage 2

I have been playing Lineage 2 since the open beta... now the game is fine. BUT the costomer service is horrible. One of my friends got banned for botting... which he doesn't do.

I give it a 5/10

5= Uhhh okay..

    Trust me... you will be appauled.

    None of the GM's first language is english. They often cut you off while you are still explaining, and they use pre-macroed answers. So they press like "1" for "Hello, how may I help you?" Only it is more like "Hello how may i held you"

    It is truly aweful.

    Lineage 2 is ground breaking and revolutionary and will continue to be well known for haveing the worst CS in mmo history :)

    Got some news for ya EVERY mmo has horrible customer service.This is the standard for the genre.I can say that out of a dozen or so that ive played for any length of time AO had the best.

    Want to ENJOY an mmo?

    Dont start a guild and dont be a leader or volunteer to be coleader or captain.

    Just play the damn game:)

    More about the game... there is a harsh level grind. Chinese(i use this term loosly) adena farmers botting.. and the GM had to single out my friend who was just afk. PKers/Greifers everyware abusing the luck skill(Cant lose items below level 5). Wasted my money... now i hope EVE will live up to its rating.

    That was a joke right? lol... SWG (SOE published) has one of the worst CS I have ever seen. L2 has a bad one as well but I never really had problems with L2 to warrant CS.

    well i dont agree that all MMO's have terible CS, but i do agree that AO has the best... I played it for about a year and never had a problem that the Customer service didnt handle in a timely and satisfactory manor..

    And to the person who said SOE had great customer service, you must be one lucky customer... and have only played EQ and not SWG... their CS is terrible, but i can attibute some of that to the huge customer base... it seems like the more customers you have to deal with, the more generic and less personal the cs responces are...

    Ive never had to deal with liniage 2's CS, but i hear it is the worst, with SOE being a close 2nd.

    Not All Gm's first language isn't english. THere are still a few who are way better than the other GMs.

    No that wasnt a joke. SOE has great cs imo , atleast from my experience with them.

    The only reason that they have *good* CS is that they are starved and they work in basements and get whipped... well you know what I mean. They are pressured to help everyone from SOE and it can be tough. Take it from my friend who had a stint there. image

    Like said above, No company has good CS. It's just a matter of how bad the CS is.

    And another thing.. in most cases it's the game and not company. L2 has probably the worst CS I've ever seen, while CoH may be the best. I found planetside to have very good CS, while SWG and EQ had bad CS imo.

    P.S. When I say PS has "very good" CS I mean on a scale of 1-10 it is a 4, while the other games I mentioned are 1-2. ::::20::

    over the 3 years I played EQ had no problems with EQ CS. They got to me when I needed help and game was running fine. I was in EQs closed beta and played 3 more years. They did something right. I have friends that still play going on 5+ years now?

    I'm playing Lineage2 til Guild Wars comes out. I may try WoW, which seems really cool. Or maybe even EQ2, which some friends of mine will be playing. But the main game I am waiting for is Guild Wars. If it is what they say it is then it will be the best MMORPG. I am sick of grinding. I've never played a game that sucks as much as Lineage2. The only reason I still play it is because I was dumb and paid for a year. So I might as well get my moneys worth.

    First off let me say, Lineage II is a terrible game for anyone who isn't a hardcore gamer or willing to grind and put up with terrible customer support.  The $15.00 a month should be $5.00 a month for its lack of depth and gameplay.  I admit SOE customer support isn't great, but once you do get to talk to a moderator, he or she does a very good job trying to fix your problem.

    To rentantilus- I find it very hard to believe that SWG banned 45,000 accounts.  Maybe they "suspended" 45,000 accounts, which is still hard to believe; but I don't even think 45,000 people in SWG know how to do a money generating loophole.  Plus, SOE wouldn't ban 45,000 acounts because thats ~675,000 dollars down the drain (assuming they were to resubsribe or cancel their subscription).

    SOE CS isn't that good imo, I can't really recall that they have ever been that helpful to me. In fact, they have screwed things up a couple of times instead of fixing the problem :P.. I think it used to be better though. I remember when the GMs would come into a room where there were two different groups fighting over the mobs, they would have a chat with them for a while and try to make an agreement between the groups, which is pretty good work imo.

    The CS in Lineage2 aint nowhere near that good though. Never have they helped me with anything, even though I have had lots of problems with the game :/

    I agree with the original poster on this one, L2 has by far the worst cs I have ever seen.

    One of our guild members reported a bot and asked the GM if these issues would be addressed in the chronicle 1 update, the GM replied with "is chronicle 1 the name of the bot?"  draw your own conclusions.

    To be fair to NC however I have found the CoH GM's to be some of the best I have ever encountered, go figure.
