GameStop Pre-Order Goodies Question

in Age of Conan: Unchained

OK, I pre-ordered this a week or two ago from EB/GameStop. In the past, I usually get the goodie codes within 24-48 hours, but haven't got anything. I got my Warhammer codes right away.

Should I already have the codes for the early access and bonuses or are those e-mails still to come? I only ask, because EB did botch my codes for Warhammer (they sent me used codes).

    i just pre orderd mine and the EB games manager had no idea what i was talking about . he didnt evan take down my email adress.... so i have no idea what im guna do i just contacted EB games AU website for som help but no response. so you do get the mount and the 17th of may early start in your email???

    I did send the e-mail to GameStop to see the process. They have a department that handles nothing but their promotions. My order was either overlooked or they haven't sent anything yet.

    Got my pre-order goodies key from gamestop in email today, although you cannot register it until May 2nd.

    I just Pre-ordered from Play.com to ship it to me in Ireland, will I get it 3 days early? They said on the website to wait for the Pre-order goodies code so I'm not that stressed out yet.

     

    I can't wait to hit level 40 and run havok accross the newby areas on my rhino mount HAH!

    I often find that the boy behind my local Gamestop's counter is oblivious to the world of pre-orders and pre-order goodies.  I went to pre-order C&C Kane's Wrath as it came with a C&C Red Alert 3 Beta key and he looked at me like deeer this not halo y u pre order dis?

    I also pre-ordered from Gamestop.com (because you get the collectors edition, war mammoth AND the guide book).  I also did not receive the codes, so I sent an email to their customer support and this is the email that I got back:

     

     

    Dear Customer,



    Thank you for contacting GameStop.com.



    We will e-mail you your access code as soon as we receive them from the

    manufacturer. This will be closer to the actual event.



    With your pre-order Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, you will be able

    to participate in the 3-day Early Access Program. Early access period

    starts on May 17, 3 days before the commercial release on May 20, 2008.

    You may begin downloading the game client files and installing as early

    as May 14. With early access, there is a nominal fee of $5, which covers

    the cost of the download and includes 10 days of additional game time.



    Any additional information we receive from the manufacturer will be

    posted on our website.

    So the 2 DVD's will just be backups when they arrive after you download your game from the 14th?

    I hope I get my instructions 3 days early from Play.com

    Are the bonus items, even the in-game ones, even useful before the box comes?  They don't really sound like something you'd use right away, except maybe the drinking cape which is useless except as a novelty item.

    anyone who pre-ordered and got a mount (mammoth/rhino)

    also get a an extra inventory bag you can use starting at level one

    I preordered from gamestop.com myself, and was concerned earlier this week that I hadn't gotten my code, so I emailed them about it, and got the following response:

    This Key unlocks:

    The in game item

    The three day early access

    So if you have not gotten your code yet, you should email the help desk with your order number to see if they'll send it to you.
