Collectors Edition In Game Item....

in World of Warcraft

Post in the WoW forums tossing up ideas for an in game item with the collectors edition....Eno lists a few ideas for the item here...

My favorites are....

- Gnome Homing Chicken. You right click on it. It flys around your head for a bit then explodes in the air like a firework with chicken feathers. (DUDE EXPLODING CHICKENS!!!)

- Small mechanical Pandarian pet. (Seeing how everyone wants pandarians as a playable race this might get alot of responses hehe)


- Mini-zergling ambient pet. Based on the cat anims, but zergling exterior. (Dunno if this would fit into the WoW world but its different =P)

    I see. Very interesting. I think you should get some kind of show off/wearable item that you can't buy in the game.

    Im against a collectors edition. In as much as I am against box expansions. Just another way to make more money off of us. Im not paying another 40 bucks on top of the 50 initial, and 15 a month that Ill already pay to play this game just so I can have a cutesy useless ingame item. Mabey if they gave us a real-world item that was more than a cloth map or crappy plastic toy might reconsider.

    The collectors edition is $70 bucks not $90 like EQ2 (Ripoff) is.... To me the dvd/cd/clothmap and the awesome in game item they choose is worth the extra 20 bucks... 40 no...20 yes!

    I would have to say I would go with the tabard.  Having a tabard at level one would kick it.  That one gets my vote.

    an extra 20 bucks?  They need to include all of that crap to interest me.  and throw in a free month or something.  Most of the collector's edition crap to come from Blizz has been garbage.  I haven't bought a collector's edition yet.

    I agree with you el_slacko!  no one should discuss an expansion when the game hasn't come out yet.

    *EDIT my faves are the 8 ball, robotic goblin and pandaren, and the zergling.  Although I'd rather have a Hydralisk, Mutalisk, Ultralisk,or Infested Terran.  Then again any Protoss unit would be awesome!

    Probably would get more respect than the *dragon whelps.  Especially if they look like they did in WC3.  Did everyone see the Hydralisk in WC3 in the NE campaign?  Either the 1st or second mission.

    There are already StarCraft mobs in WoW.  I don't remember all the names, however, I've seen 2 different zerg mobs.  One I've seen as a "beast" (generaic animal mob) and/or a High lvl NPC Warlock pet and the other as statue and paintings/drawings.

    The beast mob is the zerg up from the zergling, I believe, the dog type mob with all the horns, and the statue was the first lvl flier zerg, the one with the forward pointing tail...

    Oh, yeah! My vote! I want the doll with the draw string graphic that says "SOW! Please, kk, thx lala~~"

    Er, the first 2 you said, 1 up from a zergling would be a hydralisk? The dog type is a zergling. First level flier, Mutalisk? Forward pointing tail...mutalisks didnt have tails, they barely had faces image

    Btw, what DvD do we get? Is it just a copy of the game on DvD instead of CDs? Or is it something else. If its a Dvd of something worth wile I might consider getting the collectors edition.

    Also for the record, Id like a full size pet Ultralisk in game. image

    I also saw a screen shot somewhere that was a painting of a Protoss Templar... there's also a down Terran Dropship in one zone (in the middle of some crater I think) that looked cool but strange... image

    i want a zergling :), i mean who wouldnt. Isnt the point of these collectors items that once release has happened there only be a certain amount of them? and that they will be quite unique. What more do u want for unique ness? a little zergling would rule :).

    I like the pet zergling, that would be pretty cool. Or a sceptor that does a really cool looking spell.
