Travelling in Outland

erikk3189erikk3189 Member Posts: 306

I just went to the Outland last night for the first time. Once there as you may know I was taken to the fort away from the portal entrance, the hells pennisula I think its called.

Now, my map is nowhere near open but is there any way to fly over to the main city? I think its called Strath something.  Or I need to open the map first before Im able to go to any of the major cities/places?

Many thanks again

Not sure how hes a troll.. but anyway.

There is no way to fly there.. like with all places in WoW you need to travel on foot first to discover it and say hi to a bat/griffin rider.

The easiest way to go to the North west and travel through trekkor forest.. just follow the path and it leads straight to the city.

You do realize he's asking this right after actually getting a free ride + flightpath from the gryphon at the Outlands gate right? (something which didn't happen before in Oldworld)

For all he knows there's a similar ride to Shattrath.

At least try to think things through instead of incessantly pointing "Troll!"

    Yes, thank you.

How can a logical question be trolling?

Especially for someone who just got there to Outland for the very first time.  I guess the person who said  "troll "must of been bored with nothing to do.

    Thanks for your help, guys.

btw, I just found a place where you can find many answers in thottbot.com. But when I can't find the answer there, then I come here. I know I can always find helpful indiviuals here.

To answer your question, no there is no way to fly to shatt without finding the FP's, however you could get a mage friend to port you there. I usually find a mage to port my new toons to shatt then it cuts down on travel time while questing since there are portals to all major cities from shatt.

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.

best way to get to shatt is have a mage port you there, when you are there make it your home..

there are portals to other citys in shatt so if you need to go to one, just can just go through the portal.

you will stay in shatt all the time, only time youll mainly go to other citys is to use the AH.

You got to level 58+ and you STILL don't know how flight paths work?

Did you eBay your character or something? Any person who has leveled that far would already know and not need to ask.

Also, why are you asking here? Why not actually in game?

I hate to agree with these two but they are right, how can you possibly be level 58 not knowing how flight paths work?  Did you run everywhere on foot?  Also, it would have been much quicker to just go into general chat and ask.

If you must know, to get a flight path, you must talk to a flight master.  They should have a green ! over their head.  After you talk to them, you get the option to fly there.  Some flight paths require another path in the middle to get there.  For example, to fly from thrallmar to shattrath, you need to have a flight path from falcon watch.

poke fun but the Op clearly said in his 1st post

he go an automatic ride to HH after he went thru Outlands Gate (as we all do)

he was inquiring if there are any more automatic rides or if he had to explore (the normal way)

Well,  clearly reading comprehension isn't some of you guys strong suit, isn't that right, Thrith.  If you understood what you read which you didn't then you'd known I wasn't inquring how flight paths work, duh!!

Maybe had I explained it so a 2nd grader could understand, maybe then you would of too? I doubt it but miracles to happen so there may still be hope for the ones who talked without knowing what was initially said.

I never asked how flight paths worked but then everyone else knew that except the forums genius. I already found what it was I asked. Maybe if next time you took the time to read and understand what you read you wouldn't be making  a complete fool of yourself in a public forum.

After all, Nadia understood and so did everyone else so why not you? Duh!!! Simple understanding makes your brain hurt?

    Probably.
