Looking at the past trends in recently released MMOs, the price tends to drop a few months after release. Take a look at Tabula Rasa, back in December I grabbed a couple copies (regular edition) for $9.99 on amazon, and the CE was around $20 then.
LoTRO same thing, got the regular edition I believe it was last November for $9.99 on Bestbuy.com, CE was around $20 or so. Im thinking this will contintue with AoC. The only game I think where the price has remained steady has been WoW, and I dont see any games on the horizon able to sell that many copies.
Anyone else think the Collectors Edition willl be this cheap by the end of the year (Around $20-30)? Or will it be one of the exceptions, in that the CE will sell out and no more wil be made, and instead be in high demand by then?

It will definitely be in high demand, as with all the hype and the incredible goodies you get from the CE, they'll be sold out.
Vanguard is STILL 49.99 pretty much anywhere....
FUNCOM - putting the FUN in disFUNctional !
If AoC delivers then no I think it'll still be pretty high, if it fails (for the vast majority) then it'll probably be around $20-30 or lower.

A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

Months ago, I picked Vanguard for $19.95 at a GameStop / EB Games retail store and it was not on-sale, used, clearance or anything special that I could tell. They had two on the shelf and, I am assuming, that since they were not selling and they needed the shelf space (for other products that actually sell) they just lowered the price hoping it would move. Places like BestBuy, Target or On-line stores, places with lots of shelf space, probably still have Vanguard for $49.
Yeah Vanguard is kind of different in that i still see various prices for it. At Gogamer right now its $19.90 (reg edition), at Amazon its $29.99 and Walmart Its $49.
No 59.99 PC too

They should be paying me to play VG
Don't confuse a players ability, with a class being Over Powered.

Gamestop CE sold out in store and online
Several overseas retailers also -
Amazon usually oversells so who knows if they really have anymore left -
I doubt you'll see CE anywhere other than Ebay post launch day or two once last ones are snatched up at Best Buy
I have to agree with another poster here...I have a feeling that right around WAR's release, AoC will drop drastically in price.
I may be wrong, but it would be a typical FC marketing move.
