I've been searching for a while for a good tool that I can use to organize my guild. Basically I'm looking for something that works much like a forum's user database, only instead of a forum it lists everyone in the database and their info. I'm looking for something that has kept up-to-date on MMORPGs today and has or allows you to add fields for crafting, level, race, class, etc... stuff like that. So that after the Guild Leader has created accounts for members as they join, the members can update their own character information and it will be displayed on the main page (of the program) in a neat orderly list or chart. I don't really care what it looks like as long as it's functional, but having a tool to edit colors or edit the template would be nice, and I'm preferring something .php based.
Does anyone know a good program like this? I've found plenty of programs that will do nothing more than list the member name, or offer me features I don't need. A good guild website tool seems to be hard to find when you're just searching the web randomly for them. ^_^;;

well.. you could always make it yourself...
I don't know of any free things like this... I just made mine myself. Used a forum, and a lil bit of php for characters to login and update there own info of there chars..

I'd make it myself but I don't know PHP, I only know what it can do from what I've seen through other PHP programs. I was really hoping to get a free-standing program I could install on my server. I don't like using centralized databasing websites that force you to visit them to keep your guild information. That's why I don't use sites like Guild Magic or Guild Portal. However, I'd go as far as paying 1-time fee for a program like this because it would be infinitely handy, so I'm surprised if something like this doesn't already exist.

I might sell this thing i am working on in flash/php with a friend.
The only problem with that is i would have to customise it for each game. At the moment its only for FFXI

You could just work with PhP-Nuke and just mod it to your liking.

On the other hand, if you made an easy freestanding tool like this, you could set it up to register and sell the registration keys for $14.99-$29.99 a pop. If it was as flexible and easy to use as PHPBB2, people would love it. Yeah but not everyone knows how what PHP Nuke is or how to use it.
