I just started my Closed Beta II yesterday and after 30 minutes in the quest/npc-talk interface I had enough and went grinding.

The translation isn't worse than most asian games, but it's certainly better than say Knight-Online. Besides that there's no real difference between this and most other F2P asian games, other than ofc. the ship dock :)

The game does have potential, but not in Europe as long as click-to-move cannot be disabled. The combat functions pretty well although a bit on the heavy side in regards to auto-attacking, but that's okay too.

Option for disabling click-to-move and a more intuitive quest/help/npc-chat interface and

you are half way there - just one big
NO from me, you cant jump.

Jumping is a basic function that any character based MMO needs as it's a great timekiller for idle time etc. It's just one of those things that needs to be there.

Well I've been playing the closed beta 2 for about 3 days now, I really loved it at first, the graphics are cute and really suprisingly good, the gameplay isn't bad and the translation is pretty good considering its only CB2. It was when I only hit lvl 10 that the game got samie, and it felt more and more of a grind to get to the next level, killing 100 creatures to get about 50% at lvl 10 is a little harsh.

I think its a good game, definatly loved the sea battles, but laked purpose and anything but a long grind to get anywhere. I must admit tho lvling up seemed a big achievement lol

like I said in the other thread the graphics of this game looks like holic online, pretty much a few people will start going "NO THIS IS WAY BETTER" blah blah blah thats what everyone says everytime a new game comes out, pretty soon once another game comes out this one will be neglected as well

    Yeag c´mon guys

You play and don´t read that´s all.

Florensia boards says: The Language is shit atm but they fix the bugs at first. Most quests aren´t finished so you have to WAIT!

You said lvling is hard? Wait for the OB when all quests are finished. Btw you can get new armours/weapons each 4 lvls so 1 lvl is more in Florensia than in other games!

    Graphics - good for a f2p game.

But what is really great is the support the game offers.

I would hope the best thing is graphics or some original take on the same ol' fantasy blahs, not that customer service is really helpful when you fail to navigate their bugs, glitchy terrain, etc.

No jump?  Manditory click-to-move?  Both are deal breakers for me.

If support is so great, flood them with "is it can be WASD tiem pls" requests.. unless i'm talking out my ass and its already in the game (flame on if so, hehe).

Trying to get myself a beta key to try this game out but will wait until the open beta if need be.

Like the look of it and reviews/comments seem to be reasonably positive.  The F2P model certainly seems to be getting popular.

Shame you can't jump though - seems odd nowadays.  Maybe they'll bring that skill in at some stage.

    GFX look nice.

It may seem silly...but I kinda need jumping in my 3-d ventures.  Honest to god, I'm playing perfect world right now almost entirely due to the fact they have a neato double jump system.

I'll look in here on occasion to keep up though, I never write anything off at first glance.

I also like to jump on mmorpg games, it feels weird not being able to

  • tokarustokarus Member Posts: 43

hopefully maybe they'll add that later on in the final stages of the game. itd be nice to be able to jump... id still play the game regardless. i want to see and get a feel for the game myself.

You know there is indeed WASD movement in this game, right? It's not mandatory that you use point-and-click movement. But WASD feels kinda wonky in this game, so you, like me, may opt to use point-and-click.

So far though this game is alright. Nothing to make it stand out per se (except for the ability to hit the seas in your own customizable ship).

I'll test this game throughout the weekend, but I don't see myself sticking with it for the long haul.

"No WASD and jumping are dealbreakers for me."

    What. The. Fusk.

A stupid extra movement input type and a pointless action are game-breaking critereon? Feh. I'm more interested in whether the game features noob ganking (under the guise of PvP) and whether or not they bother to clear the servers of gold website spammers.

Those two are way more "deal breaking" than some stupid feature many of us don't care about. So what if you have to click to move? That just about describes every other asian grindfest on the list. Jumping? Since when was jumping integral to a game? Sure, I played Perfect World too, double jumping was neat. But I could've lived without it. It's not integral to the game like say ;MapleStory which had a couple of timed jumpquests (besides the entire game being modeled mostly after a 2D platformer anyway).

Pssh. Developers should concentrate on more important features that have been neglected since a freaking decade ago. Like REAL PVP, with arena tournaments, ladders, ranks, rewards, etc. REAL partying/guild/messaging systems with features you'd expect from IMs since the freaking 1990s like ignore and block (yes, many shit games don't even have these).

And what's with the dumbass static "quest X at level Y" crap? Even BBS RPGs (text games FFS!!!) have random quest generators to at least alleviate the boredom of predictable fetchquests.

Each new game is just the same old crap grindfest with just a change in UI differentiating it from the corpses of older games.

I have to agree that the controls in general were what turned me off from this game.  They might as well jsut removed WASD controls since they are so horrible.  Whats worse is every action I do in the game seems to lag to some degree and its just this game so I don't care enough to figure out if its internet or input lag or whatever...The game isn't good enough to have to deal with sh!t controls, but it was better then the hundreds of other games similar to it.

Make games you want to play.
