Will a casual Gamer with 10 hours each week enjoy this game

sassoonsssassoonss Member UncommonPosts: 1,132

I want to buy this game I liked the Gamespot pvp weekend and also have the beta key for Fileplanet

But as such with a full time job, wife (nagging) , kids I am able to squeeze in an hour to max 90 minutes each day

On weekends 3-4 hours I can play.

But with this time constraints will I be able to enjoy fully what AOC has to offer

I have  Guild wars and its a good game when I have less time but as such the game is not enough

    Yes is the simple answer.

Only suggestion i would make is to possibly play on a pve server, that way you wont lose experience from dieing in pvp which if you only play now and again will be slow to recover from.

Depends of course on your own preferences,  but there are lots of things in this game for casual players and levelling will be fairly quick

I will have to warn you, and now I am not being a doomsayer by saying this, if you are casual it will be fun from 1-80 and you will probably have a blast when you get to the solo quests. But it looks like once you get to 80 there isn't much other then raiding(Now this is the sketchy information, there could be something else I don't know. But with other starter MMOs its basically you get to the level cap and you hit a brick wall.) You might hit a brick wall when you get to 80 because everything needs more people and more time. But this is speculation which I don't like going into. But you have to be warned. So yes I think it is from 1-80 but things are sketchy at the level cap mark.

I'm very casual as well, plan to also be on PvE. By the time I reach 80 hopefully AoC's first content update will be out and add new quests for solo and grouping.

I don't plan to solo a whole lot. I enjoy grouping, but taking it nice and slow. So they will probably have a few updates before I reach level 80.

    Thanks for the info!

I'm not gonna type a lot.

If your aim is PvE, playing casual shouldn't affect you. 1 - 80 can be solo'd, and depending on when your time frame is you should be able to find others if you like playing with others.

If your aim is PvP, join a mercenary guild. Will always have fun work for you (that pays!)

    ty for the good advice

It will take me time at my pace .In guild wars our guild leader finished the factions campaign in 2 days and it took me 2 to 3 months at my pace

So by then AOC might come out with updates

City building as an architect  sounds appealing to me and sure I will be able to contribute to the guild .

Was you in my GW guild? lol sounds familar :P

Anyway, as you say Architect sounds appealing! You can build things from quests starting from level 40, this could change come release. But the neat thing about Crafting is that, its NOT experience based. If you want to build more intricate things you have to quest to actually learn how to do it. Like not make 100 things just to get a level. In this regard its very casual friendly.
