    On the whole Intel vs AMD thing. I use to be an AMD and the phenom's benchmarks for 3d performance are solid, but... :) Whoever said the AMD produces less heat than the Intel chip is lying. AMD has always used more power and produced more heat. It's because of their design. The Phenom can give you a better bang for your buck as far as the quad-core goes, but from what I've seen it's not that much better.

    I am an AMD guy through and through, but the newer Intel chips have really caught my eye, their new core is solid. Either would be good for you, you'll just see a higher floating point perfomance from the Intel chip (it'll rip Mp3s and perform better on desktop apps) than the AMD, ultimately, it's not that big of a deal.

    If you can drop the 1000 watt PSU, thats way overkill. Even 750 watts would be overkill on that computer.

    If you are ordering this from CyberpowerPC or IBuyPower absolutely do not, they are 100% terrible, you will have yourself a nice 2000$ paperweight.
