I guess no PvP.

in Everquest II

Kunou you said you had alot of PvP questions for part 5.  There was not one.

And moorgard made a post on the EQ2 forums saying that there is none.

So this sucks.  EQ2 is half assed.

IM kind of dissapointed.

    I did? I don't remember that...

    All I said was that there was a part about PvP in the report, which was the part in Part 4, which you've seen and read and responded to.

     How is this game " Half Assed"??? Did you even play EQ1?   Everquest has never been a full pvp game... it has pvp servers for people like you that would like to play pvp but for the majority the players would rather PVE...

     Take a look at EQ1 for instance...they had multiple pvp servers, with multiple diff rule sets....those servers barely had half the amount of players on them that the PVE servers had.... You people keep whining about EQ not having a full pvp aspect but in reality it has NEVER been full pvp... if you want a pvp game go play some NCSOFT game or something.

     Thats no different then me going out and buying a volkswagen then complaining that it doesnt come stock with a V-10 engine in it... DUH... it never did so why whine about it.

    Consensual pvp dueling was just confirmed for inclusion in the game at release by a PR rep on the official forums. No details were given on it. As for full pvp i assume that we will see some evil vs good freeport vs qeynos type pvp, but certainly not at release nor for awhile down the road.

    I do always say taste the rainbow but i always sift through my bag o' skittles to get to the white ones.

    r1tual, i suggest you stop coming to the forums and trying to convince people that EQ2 will suck with no PVP. It is not going to work and the more you do it, the more you look stupid and like an ass. This last post you made is just rediculous... Get your facts straight and listen to what other people tell you... SOE NEVER said there wasnt going to PVP later on, just not at launch... because PVP is popular, especially in EQ live. for all you know they are working all the bugs out of it and it will be the best damn PVP system you have ever seen.

    Ok first.  The guy who maintains the EQ2 site is Moorgard.  Moorgard is a DEVELOPER.  He is the voice of the dev team.  His job is to communicate on behalf of SOE and the design team.
    Second the FAQ is out of date.  It is not updated.

    So you can quote a FAQ on the website that has been there since last year when there was duels and arenas.  That is all long gone.  It isnt being maintanied anymore.  It might be in the future.

    Wait, what about the quote from Kunou's report? That seems to be more recent as he DID speak to the main developers and all... Do you not have anything to say about that? Because it seems they make it clear that they ARE working on PVP but dont plan on having it for release... and like i said... that is one person and he is not in charge of the EQ2 opperation... I will believe it when i hear a statment from the man in charge of the EQ2 project.

    Edit: oh and i would like to see a link of this Post saying that there will neverbe PVP...
