A Tale in the Desert: Beta 2 Is Open To All!

eGenesis has just started the open beta phase for "A Tale In The Desert II" - you can sign up for the beta at Fileplanet by going to this page: http://www.fileplanet.com/betacenter/taleinthedesert/  - When the client file is released and the beta started, users that download the client from FilePlanet will receive a special "crop" to use in the beta. Only FilePlanet downloads will have this special seed available to grow a unique crop.

The first game will be coming to a close soon and the new part 2 will take off where the original left off.

    I really like the idea behind this game but am having trouble sinking my teeth in and having fun with it. Same way with Puzzle Pirates... great ideas in both. I'll give the 2nd telling a shot in beta at least.

    I noticed in the review there is a MMORPG rating AND a user rating. I checked a few others and didn't see a MMORPG rating. Is this something new?

    I am just a basic subscriber of gamespy (non-paying account).  I was able to download from fileplanet before.  I have been trying to download ATITD2 for the last 2 days and it keeps telling me I have to log in.  As far as I know, I am log in to gamespy (as when I go to login screen and enter my ID/PW it says I am already login).

    Is the reason I cant download is because I am not a paying subscriber (and therefore dont have hitpoints)?

    imageNo, you should login to gamespy, via the website, before you go to the download site. See if that helps.

    When i launch the game, it says, "No servers defined in egenesis.lc"  What did i do wrong?image

    There's like 3 or 4 servers, you have to choose the beta one.  Don't know if you already did that or not.

    The only difference is that the game got a review and rating by one of the admins/moderators as well.

    Thanks Qubic! You never know if user ratings include "folks that just like to rate" image or well thought out ratings. So I like the addition.

    Say could any of u help me out here, on the instrutions listed on Fileplanet, it says that i need a certain key which it provides for the 'special' crop. The qustion is where do i insert the key in, so far ive had no dialog box pop up and request the key.
