You Can Patch Now

in Age of Conan: Unchained

I loaded AoC to see if I could patch it; lo and behold, it started patching the client! Thus far, I'm downloading a 188 mb patch, but there could be more.

    It allowed for me to open the client, but the entire screen is black. I can hear music and see my cursor, but nothing else...

    Uh oh... now you done broke it!

    You have to get a new key now and download it allll over again!

    Try alt + Tab when you get the black screen.

    AHHH I hear the lovely sounds but I dont see anything!!!!, lol same here, tried alt tabbing then going back in, tried launching from the patcher an the game itself same thing.  O well.  Wonder what would happen if I tried imagining what was there and tried logging in....

    Patcher is pretty slow.

    Here's how you fix the blank screen bug: open the client, but don't click play. Go to setting, then change the resolution to a lower one and disable fullscreen. Press play and everything will display properly. Now, you simply need to change the settings back to your original configuration.

    Its only the patch that is working, or the game also is working? It wasnt suppose to start 0n may 1?

    Correct, patcher only. You cannot login to the game until sometime on may 1st.

    can patch but no music and getting the following error. Welcome to age of conan! there was a problem trying to fetch the latest patch notes please try again later! but I can patch !.  lol

    That is the IIS portion and just displays their newsfeeds from the webserver to the client, that part is not active like you say but the FTP download is fine.

    Ahhhh! Drat! here I was thinking the 1st was tomorrow = we get to play after midnight.

    Just a reminder for everyone to update your video card drivers... I'm still on everquest 2 driver had to update.
