Sorry for not going through the various topics but don't really have a lot of time at the moment so I'm just going to ask this. If there is another topic that covers this please feel free to link but your opinions would be great. Just what is one able to do in Eve in terms of gameplay. From what I understand you can either kill pirates, mine asteroids and build things for ships, or do mission which require you to do what I listed before or transport things from one station to another. Is there anything more? With other MMORPGs I can get a good idea of what I might be doing but with Eve not so much since it's so different. Thanks.
i like to stare at the skill screen and wonder which single skill i should train for the next 20+ days.
I totally agree with Vicky on this, and I played the game off and on for several years hoping for things to improve. Sadly it's the most overrated mmo ever.
I won't flame as most new players do find it hard to get into at first, adjusting to the though that you cannot control your progression being the number one problem for most.
However most detractors in this thread have one thing in common, they all probably got the trial, stayed in a noob corp, or mined, and quit. Some might have done that more than once, and it is no surprise you hated the game.
It is a sandbox MMO, do whatever you want, become a pirate, infiltrate a powerful guild and work for several months bringing the whole thing down, kill that guy, be a trader, be a victim, be a mercenary, make an army, take over areas of space, build something, do whatever.
Do girls play eve ? In all my 5 years off and on of playing eve I can't say I ever remember finding a girl that plays eve. Or is it that girls are just to stupid to play EvE? Sorry I just had to ask. Let the flames consume me. ~

My first corp has 3 german girls. My second corp has 4 girls.
And when I was playing on my first account (before I lost it) I actually knew a slovenian girl (my country).
So I don't know, maybe it's just my luck, but I've stumbled upon quite a few
Thanks for all the responses. However just couldn't get into the game when I tried the trial. I like aspects of the game just couldn't find anything that could keep in the game. Perhaps it's the type of game where you need more then 14 days. Or perhaps I'm just losing interest in MMO all together.

If you need to be told what to do in EVE then you are playing the wrong game IMHO.

What more could you want? You can get ganked often and train a skill every 30 or more days. Alot of folks would pay money monthly to do this.
