You Only Get Vet Return Trial When They Change Your Char. Class?

I havent got a free pass since they changed BH a few Chapters ago. I have heard that every time they release new content they give Vets a free shot at it. Am I wrong or do I have to sign up somewhere?

I think it is like 90 days inactive now or something like that. They can really activate a vet trial at anytime for any reason really.

Here's why I suspect this...I've got three accounts. A main account which I played the beta (and Vanguard's beta) on, which I've run 3 vet trials. I also have two additional accounts which were NOT activated the last time my main account was, but worked just fine the previous two trials, one just prior to Chapter 6 (the Beast Master chapter) and another last August, in which I actually got to play with Beast Master.
The last vet trial, end of February, only my main account was "pending", the other two accounts I couldn't run a vet trial on.
It's been more than six months on the two alt accounts.
CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Given the VERY ugly current paid sub number I was just informed about... Think lower than you think... Way lower... You can see why they do this.
I have no doubt they will be offering a vet trial to all of the... just to pick a number out of the air, 249,600 people who were subs on 11/14/05 who aren't now so as to try to pump that up.
Any bets on SWG going Free-to-Play with crafting completely deleted and a item shop business model put in?

I decided to try and log in as well, and whammo! Logged in once again to another trial. Went and checked how llong the trial lasts this time...40days! That's the longest one yet. Ahhhh free game time.
Well, lets get those dead server screenies started then.
I checked my accounts over the weekend and they were all cancelled.
Just tried to log into my main and got in.
Patching now, going to login to my elder Jedi and see how badly they've screwed the pooch THIS time.

Every 3 months you can play a month free it seems or atleast close to it.
Also checked my other two accounts and they are both in the pending mode. It does seem that once every 3-4 months you can get into your old account and play for free for two to three weeks. Although on the last vet trial one of my accounts cut out abruptly at two weeks, when the other two had gone three.
Wow, the Jedi nerf is pretty brutal. Basically, you can be either an offensive oriented Jedi (dark side) or a defensive oriented Jedi (light side). There's really no in between. And yes, you have to waste an expertise point on Forsake Fear (one of the most useless buffs ever imagined) to get the full 10k heal.
I managed to rebuild my elder back to more or less the way he was before the NJE was imposed, with key skills like the new saber reflect and of course full heal and cloak. Didn't have the points for all the cloud minds expertise but didn't use it that much anyway cloak with exit combat is far more useful.
However, some of the annoying little things are still around and haven't been dealt with. The UI is still a mess, misfires happen (Salvaje has given us the scoop on that) and I'm still hearing some of the music stutter about.

I've been anticipating another vet trial coming up so I've been checking my account for the last week or so. Seems my account is "pending" this morning.
It's almost like clockwork. Even if I liked the game why would I pay for it when I can get it for free every 3 months?

On your game account screen, scroll over the '?' where it says 'pending'.
On mine it says 'pending' means 'subscription time is temporary, and will be closed once all stacked time is used up' or something to that effect, which for me, says '40days non-recurring'.
If this keeps up, I'll have had more free game time, than paid for. Whats funny, is that SOE seems to give me a trial right when I feel like logging in and checking out all my stuff. The moment I've logged in, seen what else is borked, check my stuff, I'm satisfied and have no desire to return until the next vet trial (for free). Very nice.

Same here, just plain: 'Subscription is temporarily active, and will move to "Closed" status after all stacked time has expired.' This is a direct cut-and-paste from my real (paid) account. It was last active for a trial in February, supposedly for 3 weeks but instead it closed after 5 days. The account that I only used for trials (never paid) is still in Closed, not Pending status. It was last open for a trial in December.
The unspeakably stupid "oh noes the medics are too powerful in our heroic instances, we'll change the rez rules of the ENTIRE KRIFFING GAME so our heroic instances work as intended."
And have two sets of rezzes, one for PvP and one for Pve that changes an entire profession so that it meshes with added content, instead of designing the added content around the existing ruleset.
