I don't know why, but I find it depressing when a MMORPG closes down, even if I wasn't a current subscriber. It's like watching someone's dream die out. Kind of sad.

It is sad to see the game close down. I am still a subscriber myself and just couldn't get myself to close the accounts. I will return before they finally close the game down to see who is still out there, but most people have already left from what I saw when I now log in. Only a few die-hards remain.
It's really the first MMORPG I spent any amount of time on and I met a lot of cool people when playing the game from all over the world and I will remember that most of all from this game.
And EA is a blacklisted firm from now on for me. That's PC games, but also console. I will rather buy another game that's poorer from another firm than EA after this.

I'll be in game till they turn the servers off. After that, I move on full to CoH and EvE, and will not take one look at another EA game at all.
