no pvp HAIZ, i'ma cry =( I read many posts about people saying there's going to be so many things to do in the game. uhh kill monsters, level, kill higher level monsters, max stats kill monsters.. loot ZzzzzZzzzzzZzzzzzzZzzzzz

    And how is that different than kill monsters, level, kill higher level monsters, max starts kill mosters with a few PvP duels at the end? Anyway, the devs said there will pvp sometime in the future. And your a moron if you dont know what counter strike is. Mods close is this topic, we got 10 already and it brings in trolls.

    they have said over and over again that there are no plans for pvp at launch and ever in the future.

    stop obfuscating people from bringing up valid topics and concerns.

    zZzzzzzZz if they're not gonna have some type of pvp even dualing at launch WHAT THE FARK makez u think they will implement it later on in the game LMAO. Ehhh, when i heard eq2 was coming out i was excited but then no pvp, i'm straight with that. AND DONT GIVE ME Dat bullshit about THE AI IN Eq2 is sO gOod blahb lah balh, still AI = ARTIFICIAL intelligence.

    I suggest you read the entire interview before you post half truths. This is where your getting this topic from, and Im going to post the question and answer here. I suggest you, and everyone reads the ENTIRE answer before posting a response.
     
     
     What about servers? There have been a lot of rumors going around concerning various special server types: Broadband Only servers, Roleplay Servers, PvP servers etc, can you clear any of this up?

    We haven't announced server types yet, we're keeping our options open there, but nothing has been announced as of yet. We're not even announcing server names until right at launch, even through beta they will just be beta1, beta2, beta3 etc. There will be no special rule set servers at launch. But change always happens.

    What we've found is that the PvP players really care a lot about their PvP and they're really vocal. We don't want to disappoint so whatever plans we have we'll announce when they're finalized but as of right now at launch we are not doing any PvP. PvE only at launch. The problem with allowing even the consensual PvP; dueling and such, you set expectations for what you're going to do later with PvP. We actually have some very clear ideas about where we want to go with PvP and it's not like anything you've seen before, so when you hear about it you'll understand why.

     They just killed eq by   not implimenting pvp, YET eq1 had the same system and it was the most successful MMO in north america...

    pvp that hasnt been implimented or even thought of when it comes time to release the game doesnt sound very appealing. Kinda sounds like the CRAP pvp in swg with the rebellion and the empire. ZzzZzzzzz

    Yeah... because Empire vs. Rebellion made no sense in SWG... That wasn't in the Star Wars lore at all, SOE and Lucas Arts musta dreamed it all up for the game...

    And this is yet another pointless "No PvP in EQ2" thread. Yes, we know there will be no PvP at launch, those of us who want to play the game, still want to play the game, we don't care about PvP. If YOU don't like it, like someone else suggested, go play Counter Strike or something, but stop trolling these boards.
