Holy shit!!!!
I really couldn't ask for more in a game...I haven't felt this way about a game since the winter of 2003 when I got into SWG. This is really a cool game. I really see this as a potential WOW KILLA! I find myself counting the hours until I get off work. Again, I haven't done that since I stepped off the shuttle pad on Tatooine!
Great work FUNCOM!...I'm finally having a good time again! You guys have brought MMO's back to where they should have been all along. Thank you for making such a BADASS game.

Man, some people are just dense. Lets disregard the last 5 pages of complaints and issues brought up by people who have played the beta, lets just look at the system requirements. Done? Funcom will be lucky to get 200k stable subs.

200k yes that will be very lucky. Too bad really but it is the only beta i ve been in, in awile that i just don t want to log in. I only do because it s there hoping it will be better. And what is with the chat lol nipples this boobs that wow thats one thing i can do without.

I turn off general chat in every MMO I play. It's an unneeded distraction. Plus helps immersion factor for me.
I just don't know how you can take his post seriously when he says that the game has the potential to be a WoW killer... I HATE World of Warcraft but your just nuts if you think this or any game coming out soon is going to be a WoW killer.

best 13 levels I have ever played...Not only that...*The combat system is one of the best I have ever played
*The environment in game is the most immersive I have ever seen
*I love the animations...cool as hell!
*I love the mature nature of the content...true and gritty!
*The MOB AI is just unlike anything I have ever seen before.
*Character customization is a highlight!..had fun really creating an original character.

I'm always amused when people are impressed with AOC early levels. Maybe you'd be better off playing a single player console game so that great experience lasts for you?
But seriously, AoC still has a lot of issues that have yet to be resolved. Tortage received the most polish, time invested and hype out of all their content, and that's why everything else is suffering for it.
I bet the OP would make a great used car salesman, he could find good things to say about a 3 wheeled can with no engine!

yup,I know where he's coming fromPlayed all night and most of the day. I'm on nightshift now with NO SLEEP! LOL. Not good, I know but I figure once I get into crafting at level 40, I can bring my Laptop to work and craft all night. My laptop won't be good for combat. But I should be able to harvest and craft,aswell as keep up with my guild.
Anyway, I hope he's right about it being as good as SWG Pre-CU.... although... that could be a double edged sword. Let us not forget that SWG Pre-CU was so good that it inevtably brought about the apocolypse (aka NGE). Still, that was because SOE decided not to work on anythign but Jedi for two years. Maybe Funcom isn't that stupid.
Seriously, optimism is all good but you're getting way ahead of yourself. Now if you had leveled a character to 80 in the closed beta I would listen to you, but with the NDA still in effect I guess we will just have to assume that everything else including crafting, mounts, sieging, spellweaving and others are all working fine. Way too much for me to assume however, I've been through a few MMORPG's that remained tight-lipped at launch and ALL of them disappointed me.

Not good, I know but I figure once I get into crafting at level 40, I can bring my Laptop to work and craft all night. My laptop won't be good for combat. But I should be able to harvest and craft...aswell as keep up with my guild.
Yup, the game is awesome. I've had a lot of fun playing it the last few months and I find it silly that all the trolls come out and talk bad about a game they've never played or have only played 1 day of. It's sort of amusing, but at the same time I kind of feel sorry for them.

Look... I'm excited about AoC just as much as the next guy (even though I've heard about its problems.) What can I say, I like what I like man. I can honestly say that I will be playing this game for a long time. I can't wait till it all goes live and the race for siege palaces jump into high gear! Great times are ahead. Get in or get left behind.
you apparently havn't spent much time in the game. there's some damn good AI in there.
Granted, early levels AI is pretty simple, to ease you into the difficulty.
I mean, you'd be pretty well screwed if at level 5 you ran up to attack a mob only to have 3 of his friends that were lying in stealth in the bushes pop out and gank you. But you can expect that later on.
and you expect what type of super AI in a mmo? and wow didn't get anything better. Wow got it from eq.

That is the point though, it is too early to claim the AI is great and deep like he said. He is the same guy who told people don't bash the 1-13 stuff but makes this thread praising it to be the next big thing and a WoW killer...

Nah to some this game will be all that and a bag of glitches =P I can't say i feel the same. I had really high hopes it would rock, and I mean its OK, but I cant see spending cash on it.

Xen of Onslaught
Ive been highly unimpressed so far. At no point have I found myself being immersed into any type of gameplay. The only thing Ive met are headaches. Im going to try some other classes , maybe things will get a little better. But right now, with all the performance issues ( old client or not its a pita) and screen loading. Meh, this has to be the worsed stress test ive done in a while.
I was hoping that I would be able to make up my mind on a preorder this weekend. But more than likely Ill only give this a go on a trial to check out further in the game ...since this is only 13 levels. Of course the first 13 levels should have suckered me in by now and they havent. So I dunno ....I really do hope the game does good, god knows we need less clones.
