in Pirates of the Burning Sea

I know the game has quite a few naysayers, but I want to try the game out for myself.  I have questions first...

1. Are there roleplayers?

2. Is the community friendly?

3. Is the community active?

4. Is the roleplay community active?

    I think you should ask one more question:

    Does the environment encourage, support, or reward for Role Playing?

    And that is why...

    Because now I know when I see a pirate in game walking like Jack Sparrow,

    I wont have to wonder who it is

    Sure you would.  They're starting to run out of victims due to people leaving, so they'd welcome you with open arms.

    To be honest, most of the PvP is certainly not solo (outside of the skirmish system, which really is irrelevant); anyone venturing inside the red circles, especially a low-level player, is really fair game.

    Problem is, that you'd soon realize there is nothing for you to do. Unless you join a gank squad.

    Bonny used to be the unofficial RP ser ver, but that server was closed down, so I imagine all the rp'ers are scattered.  There are some on BB, as I'm sure there are on all servers, but as with most MMO's, the RPG is normally silent.

    As far as communities, you find some friendly ones, and some real jerks.  It really is just like every other game.

    The main problem is currently population.  With the server mergs it has alleviated some of the pain, but some still exist.

    Who on earth ask MMO these questions?  It is like ask WoW--- do u have wood, lake and grass..

    All MMOs have this feature... even the bad one

    Go waste your money on this game!!! it is your lost...

    So you are already trying it out, or still wanting a buddy key to try it out.

    Noticed no response thats why?

     

    A waste that threads always get derailed on these forums, so strange.
