Can you still use the box copy of this game?

Just wondering if you can still pick up the box for this game and if it counts as buying the CD Networks Premium Download -- $19.99?
Its been about a year sense I have tried this game and thinking about wasting a few days in this game/giving it another go. If I try it and like it ok, ill prolly snag a box copy for the bonuses if you get them.
I like to have a F2P MMO on the side, after finding a link to the music for this game I figured I could give it another shot ^^. (music is really cool for a MMO)

Yeah, still works. 1000 gold, 100,000 vis and a character (though you don't get to choose one).

How do I go about applying the box code to my account, or do I have to make a new account with the instructions in the box?
I figured it would be something like Codemasters system, but I cant find a place to input a box code.
Just really want to make sure this works before I order the box.

Do the following:
Step 1: Log into www.swordofthenewworld.com, then select the "MyAccount" tab on the left navagation menu, then select Enter Promo Code and follow the directions.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: PROFIT!!!
