And realized I didnt get a promo code for beta. Would it be on my receipt from Gamestop? Do I need to ask them for a promo code?

If you ordered from Gamestop.com your codes will be on the email'd reciept make sure your junk filters aren't on.
If you got in store .. then you'll never get one if you didnt' leave with one..I'd suggest getting the CE from somewhere else. Not every retail store has the keys.

Yea, I got it in store while I was out shopping over the weekend:( Actually had upgraded my pre-order from reg. to CE. Where would you suggest getting it from?
First call and ask them about to just to make sure..sometimes employees mess up.
Then if not call Best Buy if there's one in your area...they have pre order boxes that have the key..if they have them in stock you can get one in store from them.
If all else fails Gamestop.com (they send it by email on your emailed reciept) or Amazon.com (they store it in your my media download's section).

Yeah gamestop is supposed to have "rave cards" with all of the codes on it. I have called two gamestops in my local area and they dont have rave cards yet. Furthermore, I was informed they don't think they will have the cards for awhile.
I am psycho paranoid about getting the CE. It has sold out in Germany already. I fear I may move before the release date, so scared my copy will get lost in the mail but as doom cat says, If I dont get my rave card from game sto rigbht away, you cant trust them to get it to you later.
Doomcat, do you know if bestbuy has the pre order boxes yet? I have not seen them online, but have not been to a store.
Not all gamestops sell pc games many take pre orders for them but really sell console games for the most part...so they dont' get the Rave Cards..some do of course..but if they've not gotten the rave cards they're not getting them..all their allotment of cards went out weeks ago.
Employees will tell you anything to get you to pre order.

Thanks Elven, I'll call gamestop if not there is a bestbuy not too far away. Thanks again for the info. Man o man, how I wish it was out already. Havent played an MMO in over a year since I quit wow and most console games just dont do it for me.
The workers at my Gamestop in Auburn NY are fantastic , when ppl in aoc were complaining about not getting there keys i walked in and got it instantly... He said to call today or thurs im stuck finishing up college work so i have not gotten to call today as i will stop by tomorrow.
However the same words were said about aoc and my store had about 100 preorder keys, so i highly bet you will get the key before open beta starts.. take a deep breathe go for a walk, game doesnt come out for awhile still.

Gamestop actually DID mess up the stuff with WAR it was all over the boards like several days before the CE was even officially announced and for weeks after. Why risk getting screwed when you can for sure get your keys online.
There are only 60k Keys for 60k CE's...they've stated numerous times they will not be printing extra (of course that could change if that many people got F'd by Gamestops fubar)

So, first of all, saying things about associates like "we will say anything to get you to pre-order" is not exactly nice. Were human beings too you know. You think were not customers like everyone else? Seriously.
Second, yes, beta keys went out a long while ago. I work at an EB Games in Canada, and we got our keys weeks ago. They were gone within a day or so. More than likely they are already out of keys, unfortunately.
There is no way to get more, unless head office sense them of their own free will. We may get more at release, but that wont do much for beta, now will it?
Unfortunately your best bet is to keep checking, they might get shipped more soon. Other than that, look around at other places, and see if they still have keys.
They're not sending out Extra Keys...damn...they printed 60k they said thats all they're printing..if an Gamestop didn't get any they aren't getting any.
While its not very nice to say its the truth havig worked for them myself ages ago. Not all stores work that way but many certaintly do.

I actually was one of those people who didn't get the rave card at first purchase and had to go back to my gamestop to let them know. It wasn't the employees fault, their system that sends out what items go with what preorder didn't have the information when it was supposed to.
Well Gamestop couldnt help me get a beta key so canceled my pre-order and went to bestbuy. Bestbuy had a couple of pre-order boxes left
Comes with 3 codes, beta, early live game and some item.
