Noob: Are 3 directions used also for spells?

Well yes I know I am a total noob in AOC. Now, there are 3 directions you can hit someone in AOC, you press the left or right or forward and it hits, now my question is. Can you press the direction key and then a spell, will that spell go to that direction? Or?

As of now, no. There is no "directional" spells apart from just looking at your target. How spellweaving will work is anyone's guess but probably something similar to the combo scheme in melee combat.

the devs at AoC explained how spellweaving would work in a lengthy article which also had a video, though I'm too lazy to find a link. It is most likely findable on the main site now if you are curious.
Basically, it's like "powering up" if I remember correctly. It's a special stance for spellcasters. Basically, it makes your spells stronger while weakening yourself. Depending on how long you spellweave decides these two factors. There are 6 "stages" I believe and it can take up to 50 seconds to get to max power, which I would assume means a supernova of some sort if it seriously would take that long. It looks like a fun addition if you ask me but will take a while to tweak where players actually take a gamble using this feature, especially PvP-wise.
