I'm in a Clan which got 2 Testers of the Beta 2 of FoM.
They say i has got a lots of Bugs and it is at this stage not worth playing.
Well I guess it's a good thing it's still in beta then, huh? I still will never understand why people join betas to 'play'. If you aren't there to test the game you're pretty much just taking up space.
As beta is generally the last thing done, starting approx. 6 months before release, most things should be in the game. There wasn't much of anything in FoM, and what was wasn't terribly complete. Maybe I'm just kooky, but I think the game should be at least 85% featuer complete before entering beta. As it stands I'd called FoM prealpha material at best.

You're not "kooky," just horribly misinformed. There's no defined time that a beta should or shouldn't take place. It becomes a beta test when the company feels that they need outside testers to continue designing the product.
And it's a good thing that no one follows your "85%" rule, because games would then take 3 times as long to go retail.
You listed yourself as under 18, you don't stand ANY chance at all. Maybe open beta if they have it.

Yea due to legal stuff with NDA's alot of companies arn't letting those under 18 into Beta's when the NDA is still up since they can't legaly sign it and be bound by it.

you will not get into the closed beta unless you are 18, and even if you are its going to be pretty hard. The thing that everyoes worst nightmare is the NDA agreement. This is a Non-Disclosure Agreement that can onyl be signed by adults and Face of Mankind so far will not have any beta tester be under 18, but whne Open beta comes around this Agreement will try to be changed so that your gaurdian must sign it. This NDa agreement is just to insure that you must not talk about the game what so ever, and the list goes on......
Sry to get your hope up but your o the wrong forum to ask this question, go to their forum and see the large number of posts about this....

I win betakey to FOMk .. but earlier its empty game.. only few testers.. now he have betaclient on mmhell ..what is fu****ing server because don't support resuming.. now maybe its transfered to jolt..

I like Neocron.. but this isn't like Neocron. Only about graphic page.
Neocron is MMORPG+FPS
This is only MMOFPS
Neocron = classes, skills, RPG ..
FoMk = only FPS in persistentn world.. there isn't any level/stats/races/classes.. whole game depend only on your real skills. Yes, u get xp for completing mission and then rank.. but that is only for getting more money .. more money = better weapons.
But if u get many money.. u can simply invite any friend in game, get him the best weapon and armor and start playing and then he don't have any difference between you and he.
Missions is based on PvP .. I think its chaotic.. don't know why they hate PvM and want PvM only as little bonus.. the mission system is weird and not working now = almost nobody play at beta (for 5 month?? I think this game with this temp of making will never be released..)
mission system is like.... GM make big mission and players in faction with higher rank split it to more little mission for lower rank...and so... and its based only on PvP = the mission object is like
"enemy faction is on place x,y,z .. go to kill it.." and the enemy faction get mission "go to place x,y,z and defend this position"
that is FoMk........ great for PvPers... boring for MMORPG players.. because there is no content.. simply its like Counter Strike in persistent world.. and the GUI and controlling char isn't 100% too..

I think FoM will be a MMORPG + FPS, if anything neocron is the MMOFPS it had fuck all roll playing at all. While i can see it has a large empasis on PvP, this is really good for thoses of us who like it. So what if there is no Exp and leveling if you want that go play Everquest or something. As for FoM being a copy of neocron its not, WoW is not a copy of everquest although its about the same things. This game is a Si-Fi based game which means its gonna be similar to other Si-fi's. I think the item system, money and faction ranking will put this game well away from other MMOFPS's like planetside. FoM will be great for PvPers but not just from games like planetside but others like neocron too. The mission system sounds like its gonna be really good, no other game has mixed missions in with PvP like this game has.
This game is not gonna be for people who only love games such as EQ (although i like both types) but i dont think its gonna be crap for ther MMO players. Its gonna be different but i think its gonna fit into the MMO scene for sure unless everything i have read about it was all lies.

MMOG = FOM .. because MMOG = massive multiplayer online game = NO exp/level/stats
MMORPG = massive multiplayer online ROLEPLAYgame = ROLEPLAY = classes/exp/level/abilities..
but in FOmk u have only 1 button - FIRE .. nothing else.
FOMk is MMOFPS .. Neocron is classic MMORPG + FPS only in action style of combat.

No, MMO R.P.G Roll playing game. Roll playing is not classes/exp/ablitly its ROLL PLAYING were people take the rolls of there online character and pretend to acually be them. FoM has this, and even though it dont have classes/exp/ablitly it does have other elements like the ecomony, items and Player housing which put it into the game catagory as other MMORPGs like neocron. In FoM its NOT just one button to fire you have implants which can be used to battle like shields and stuff which can determin the out come of a fight (more then what neocron had). I really dont think FoM can be classed as a MMOFPS like planetside, its totally not that same thing. Its gonna be more towards the FPS side of things but i think its gonna fit in very nicely for those of us who like playing MMORPG's but enjoy the PvP side of things more.

Neocron can HARDLY be classes as a MMORPG + FPS as you only had to target a box around someone, nearly no FPS skills are needed for that.
Face of Mankind is currently in the third stage of closed beta, and under a Non-Disclosure Agreement. This means that the testers obey a legally binding document that states (among others) that they're not supposed to talk to others about the state of the product (for obvious reasons).
The RPG in MMORPG stand for RolePlaying (not levelling as some seem to think
), and FoM will feature lots of roleplaying. You can already see examples of it by visiting the FoM RolePlaying forums where some (illustrated) stories are listed that are made by the beta testing team. But of course it will not be as intensive during beta as it will after release
