PCIE 16x 1.1 and 2.0 (quick question)

alright, can you use GPUs that use the PCIE 16x 2.0 on regular PCIE 16x 1.1 slots?? I'm deciding whether or not to get a new GPU or not and this question seems to go unanswered wherever i ask it.

    Yes you can.  Actually what it means when a video card uses PCI-e 2.0 right now is that it supports use on PCI-e 2.0.  Most video cards actually don't use all the bandwidth on PCI-e 1.1 right now, but the switch to 2.0 really has to start now to better adapt people to the change.
