I admit. I play my games late at night and after a long day at work.
And I so many times almost fell asleep playing LOTRO. No wonder though , many people complain it has boring combat system...
We need something with action ! Active , dynamic combat !
Something like AOC!
Yes right ....
Click combo + 3 , click combo + 2 , click heal , wait 4 seconds ... repeat
I fell asleep yesterday playing the bear shaman , at lvl 10.
The game is not in any case more boring than any other MMO , but it is no less boring either.
Combat system is not as dynamic as i hoped.
There is not much THINKING , just manual repetition , bit of timing ... nothing groundbreaking

Well if you fell alseep playing both LOTR and now AoC,have you every thought maybe your body is telling you it is time for bed?
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

power naps are your friend. oh and meth will help as well.
Recognize the fealing Installed Entropia and EVE few days ago, I have no idea why I'll keep playing Entropia, the game lacks in so many areas.

The Sceptics, yes they're special but we've need them to.. I guess.
And if they're put more effort MMORPG.com can create a 'Team Sceptic'
and send them to the Special Olympus.
I agree, the combat is boring and dont find it groundbreaking at all.
Better call it handbreaking. Although it's nice that you can swing your sword the direction you wish it just doesnt work playing with a keyboard. Just dont see myself smashing those keys for a couple of years, better have autoattack i think, Its much more relaxing for your hands.
Also i think pvp combat will be very frustrating with this system because you need to move with a,s,w,d and also press 1,2,3,q,e,shift,space to do combat and stuff, Just to many buttons. Maybe easier for ppl that walk with their mouse but i just dont like that really.

What do you expect at level 10? Anyway you can also double tap to jump forward or backward for different effects.
If you want action and difficulty level then go for Assassin, though at level 10 the options you have are quite limited what ever the class is.
I normally just use my mouse to click the abilities I want and then using the WASD keys to move around... I can do both of those and use mouselook when I needed it without too much difficulty
Personally, I like this system far better than what I saw in EQ2, where it was a real whakamole combat system. Hit buttons 1-10 and then as soon as they refresh until mob is dead. This, you have more to do with the shields and picking the direction you want to hit from and other things.
Is it a perfect system? Hell no, it still uses levels But I think it is one of the more enjoyable systems I've seen since Asheron's Call.
i find the combat system alot more interesting atleast playing a melee character anyways. I find it alot more fun having to pay attention to the side the shields are on and attack the other side rather than turning on autoattack and sit and watch.

LOL power naps and drink do help.....but the meth will make your teeth fall out!
Try the combat with a 360 controller...THAT is fun...
how do you do anything in a game? you press a button right? that is the ONLY way it will be done unless someone invents virtual reality helmets or something. live with it.
