Any wild speculation on system reqs for WAR?

So, I'm in the AOC beta but find my 2-year-old machine can run things but not terribly well. However, I can play games like WOW, LOTRO, Oblivion and The Witcher with no problem, so I'm hoping my current system will be able to handle Warhammer.

I know official system reqs are not out yet, but does anyone have the vaguest notion if WAR will require the latest hardware?

I'm just hoping WAR will have a sweet spot between the hardcore requirements of AOC and WOW's scalability.

I would say "requirements" will be fairly low.......

It may not look great on the lower settings but I am willing to put my money on them being smart enough to make the game able to be run well on the same machines that are currently running WOW and LOTRO.  That is the games target audience it would seem therefore making a game that those people cannot play on the same computer would be a lot less likely to draw them away from those games.

If you have alteast a P4 2.4ghz or better...and a Nvidia series 6 (or equiv) or higher..and probably 1 to 2 gigs of ram I'm betting you can play WAR just fine on low to medium settings.    Thats just my personal opinion ... a smart MMO tries to accept a broad reasonable range of PC's.

I'd still suggest having atleast a Pentium D or Dual Core would be better than a single core anyday though since they'll get you medium to high settings depending on your video card & ram. (or atleast they should if you buy a reall fast one).

Well as my system spec can play Vanguard at max setting I seriously doubt any up and coming game will give me an problems <grin>.

But I recommend you go for at least 2 gig of ram (4 if you can manage it) and a reasonably up to date graphics card. Remember even though the graphic requirements of war are supposed to be low those big battles will take their toll.

On my laptop I run duel 1.6gig, 1gig ram, ummm dont ask me the vid card....its some nvid xpress and I ran LOTRO on medium settings flawlessly except for load screens in the 10 man raid they had. I am not expecting to run WAR with anything higher than low settings in RvR with this laptop but I do expect it to run reasonably well on low settings in large battles. I have no issues with this since I highly doubt I will have time to stop and see if that leaf is moving, or if its raining when I am trying to plow through my enemy. As for my desktop it runs anything out or comming out flawlessly on the highest settings, so when I am at home I see no issues what so ever ;)

I would suggest going to one of the Warhammer fansites and checking out what people are currently building/running "A lot of folks are in beta, and have given feed back about their systems".

As I am typing this up, I am looking at  threads on sites that have a number of systems being built by members of the War community for beta and live game.

    Warhammerconflict.com Warhammeralliance.com, and WAR RvR.

Check those out and let me know how it went.

the only systems allowed in beta right now are HIgh End Systems because they've not added in the options to toggle graphical settings yet.     So going by what close beta testers have is not any indication of the minimum system requrements.

Indeed as I'm sure it's one of the (many) reason(s) why I'm not in beta, low ram that I hope will be upgraded this running month amongst other things. I need a better PC if I want to stand any chance in large scale battles - even if WoW and Oblivion were running "alright".

If you got 2 gigs its more than enough unless your running Vista
