    I have 9600+ @ 2.6ghz
4gb ram ddr2 800 ( sicne using xp it works as 3 gb , but I paln to go on vista )
    512 mb ram hd 3870 toxic .

I have three questions : 1 . Do you think it will be reasonable to get a second card for crossfire , or it's better to wait for july's 4870 ^_^ ?

2.Also you didn't say on what defenition you played , and was AA on? , in dx9 you've maxed out everything right ? .

    3. by saying 8800 gt sli , you mean 2 X 8800gt's ?

Common problem among gamers. Higher doesn't always mean better. 35fps is considered the breaking point. At which time anything after 35fps is practically pointless and un-noticeable.

So if at SOME places you get 30-40.. what's the big deal? You aren't playing at slideshow.. you're playing at a very good FPS.

Considering this is a BETA client and you get 30-40fps in SOME places.. that's damn good performance.. as time goes on this will improve and you'll get even better performance.

    So why are you complaining?

Your eyes can't even tell the difference of 40-60fps.

Yeah BUT consider the idea that he might use DX10 , then you could caut down those 30-40 by 2 and get 15-20 ( just like all DX10 games the performance cutting down almost by half) . And the fact that AOC will be released around the corner , I really doubt that performecne will go way up from what he've seen in beta .

Erm that's what folks said last time and in 2-3 days they release a patch that boost performance on an epic level.

We just don't KNOW what will happen. If dx10 doesn't work so great on his rig.. hop back to dx9 until it's more stable.. there's only subtle differences between the 2 to begin with and it's not worth a huge fps hit.
