Tasos, when does Aventurine Fiscal 2008 start for DFO?
The question says it all.
Their fiscal year could start 1 December 2008, so if they release November 30 2009, they would still have released in 2008 according to their financials.
It is a fair question I'd like an answer to.

As retarded as it sounds, it is probably their next excuse for not releasing the game in 2008.
An important question.
Some native tribes don't have a concept of year. I believe in China year starts sometime at february but i am not sure about . For some folks in amazonas the year begins mai ? i am not sure about.
Don't think greeks knows calendaring so Tasos as clan chief could just decide to let 2008 begin december and end in 10 years ?

Ok Fanbois, let Corporate Accounting 101 begin. All corporations run a 12 month fiscal calendar. This twelve month calendar corresponds to the month the said company first reports quarterly financials. For example, WAR moved beta to Q2 of this year. To you and I, in the calendar year, that would be April thru June. This is not the case with corporations around the globe. To WAR, Q2 2008 so I'm not exactly sure what three months make up EA/Mythics Q2. That could be July 1 thru September 30 or as late as September 1 thru November 30. Again, each company picks their own calendar year for reporting financials. Like I said, Aventurine has an 18 month window to launch unless we can specifically find Aventurine's financial calendar. All I'm saying is don't hold your breath to within the next seven months. We don't know Aventurine's calendar until they announce it.

This is a very fair question. I think we do need an answer to this. I know EA starts its' fiscal year later and thus games will not always be released in the calendar year they say.

Actually, I think the OP's question is very relevant to DF's supposed release date. Just because you don't like the question doesn't make it a troll post. Sorry!
Oh come on, they have lied to the general public so many times with absurd statements about beta announcements that never materialized. There is absolutely no way this game will release in 2008, probably not in 2009 either.
Unless the developers serious cut the feature list, this game will always remain vaporware.
But when begins year in amazonas ? Aswell some tribes in polynesia dunno about year at all. It IS important to know .
We also may lost some years in medievel are we sure its 2008 ?

Every company has to have a fiscal year for accounting purposes. If they don't have a fiscal year, they are not a company but a front. However, Aventurine, as far as I know, is not a publicly traded company so they will not be forced to let anyone know what their fiscal year is. If this is the case, all of their financial information is proprietary. Anyway, lunch break over.
