Can i get my character back?

Hello,
I haven't played everquest for about... 6 or 7 years, but I had an awesome character when i did.
So i'm thinking about going back for a month or 2 just to reminisce basically.
Will my character still exist after such a long period of stagnation?
And is it possible to get my account username and password back via email and credit card info?

You can check it on the official SOE website.
There is a list of ALL existing characters. It will have some random date in 2005 as the last day log in if I recall well, the day they put this new feature on their website.
Make a character search, you may need to specify server and yours may have been merged since.
Now, don't ask me the details, but Anofalye was still very well alive as well as the 4 or 5 alternates I check (need to remember the name and/or guild)...and apparently she was the highest character in her guild still! :P I still meet the requirements of MOST uber guilds as far as a raw amount of AAs requested. :P Last time I really play her, 2003, she is merely level 65 (was the level cap). Quit immediately after experiencing GoD, it show me to never trust devs based on 1 good move/expansion such as LDoN, expect the total move and commitment before you trust them*. :P
*And explain why I wouldn't try LotRO yet, I need MORE than what they offer to groupers, it is still not enought

Wow, I had to go check, the two characters I remmeber are still there, however it says last played 2005 and I know it's been a hell of a lot longer than that:)
As much as this is gonna sound like a flame its really not meant to be but ....
If you have't played for 6-7 years
1.) How awesome could your lvl 50 possibly lvl 60 char be without all the updated content that you've missed.
and ....
2.) Be prepared to be confused worste than you have ever been confused restarting something again even if your char is still there.
EQ is not the game you left and those old memories you had are and will always be just that ...
