I liked the first matrix alot because the concept was original(to a point anyways). But after that they just went to far.

I also liked the "Short Circuit" movie series when I was a kid.

Lost in Translation, Garden State, Reservoir Dogs, Apocalypse Now!, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, almost any other Kubrick film, any Tarantino film except My Best Friend's Birthday, Office Space, The Big Lebowski Akira, Ghost in the Shell, just some of the lesser known great movies.

Damnit I could go on and on... I loves me movies.

     Hmm... Let's see....

Hackers - Was a movie i saw when i was a kid that got me so interested in computers.

Donnie Darko - Brilliant movie, with tons of depth and mystery.

The Matrix- Original Concept, I know every line to that movie.

Hook - A big peter pan fan since i was a kid image

Lord of the Rings - One of few, well designed fantasy movies. It's about time.

Dumb and Dumber - Funniest movie ever.

     Almost all of Tarintino's movies.

     M. Night Shyamalan's movies... Well, at least the popular ones (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village)

Jaws - Great movie, but not i will never go in the water.

I could go on and on... But i won't.

    Blade Runner
    Alien
    Citizen Kane
    Schindlers List
    1984
    Anything by Terry Gilliam
All Quiet on the Western Front
Kubriks films are definitely up there, as are David Lynch's

A couple movies that while not 'best', but still had a definite impact on me:

American Werewolf in London: I saw it as a child, and there was a scene were he chases down a deer and kills it. A pretty powerfull image as a child, at least for me.

Saving Private Ryan: The first 20 odd minutes are the most vivid and powerfull depiction of how truly horrific war can be.

There plenty of others, but I'm too tired to think right now.

    1. Shawshank Redemption
    2. Office Space
    3. Napolean Dynamite

the first 2 are the best movies, truly good (and not recognized enough now a-days), not the most popular but better than the stuff that some say is better... the third is just a great movie to see with your friends, I quote stuff from it all the time.

    Not necessarily in order:

    1. Star Wars IV

    2.  Forest Gump (what else can I say...who else would love to have the luck he did?)

    3.  Elizabeth (very accurate..very dark)

    4.  The Matrix (1st one)

    5.  Butterfly effect (for a teenager-genre movie, I was very shocked that is was so good)

    6. Silence of the Lambs (freakin scarey...watch it again at night when a thunderstorm overhead is so bad, you may loose power at any moment....I did...very interesting)

    7. Galaxy Quest (I can watch this movie 300 more times and still laugh my butt off)

    8. Blair Witch Project (before the "real like camera use" went overboard in every damn upcoming tv show)

    9.  Lord of the Rings (fellowship of the Ring)

    10.  Passion of the Christ. (simply, well done.  Bravo to Gibson)
