As I haven't had an AMD based PC for years I've lost touch with their processors. Which is better for MMORPG, assume WAR as I'm not sure I want to play AoC. Also, would I be better with Dual Video cards or just stick with one?

I used to only use AMD, and for my latest gaming PC I went Pentium. And now I have decided that never again I will go Pentium. Actually my biggest beef with my current Chip (forget which it is exactly) is that it runs as hot as #$%^. It idles around 55-60 celsius, and I don't need 100 people telling me I need better CPU fan/case/thermal paste cause I've already done all that. Did some research and some people have the same chip idling at 60-70, it's just HOT!

Dual cards depends soley on resolution. Is your monitor 22" and below? Then get an 8800 or greater, or an ATI equivelent singe card solution
Intel is eating up AMD right now. Higher price tag, but outperforming AMD by a strong margin.

Intel for gaming right now. The larger l2 cache and the way games are currently coded makes it a more ideal design. I wouldn't say Intel is eating AMD. In some cases AMD is simply crushing Intel, such as HTCP where thier high end quad processors 3.0 ghz 12MB L2 Cache, are getting outperformed 3:1 by an AMD Opteron 2.0 ghz 2MB L3 Cache. It really depends on how the program is designed, the l2 cache size is the biggest limiting factor on current AMD processors and is the only reason why Intel outperforms AMD in games. However, when it comes to vision. AMD right now is really designing processors to where the future is.
I heard the new AMD quad-core processor has a bug that causes computers to crash.
I personally am looking at upgrading to a Q6600 <B:)
Don't quote me but I remember reading that this chip was load tested and performed within specs at 70c. Also keep in mind that this chip is designed to clock itself down if temps are getting out of line as a self protection method.
I know this cause it is the chip I run and have no troubles with it at all even in my heat chamber of a bedroom. I did the research before buying and still went with it and I am so glad I did. Quad wll be my next step in a new build. (unless of course something better is around)

Actually it was a Pentium D Smithfield. I was looking at it recently and I hadn't noticed that it is a 130W CPU, which is a tad bit out of control. Most of the good ones nowadays is ~65W. I saw on newegg there is an "Extreme" CPU thats 130W for sale... for $1000...
So maybe pentium isn't as bad as I made it seem. But I will say my computer restarts every now and then I may have caused some damage running it around 80 degrees celsius, who knows.

Here I thought my AMD 3.2 ghz duo core was running hot 35-45. You should see the Zalman heatsink I have on my mobo...thing looks rediculous...but it seems to be working.
