I played AC2 and LOTRO briefly. I'm looking for a game for someone who wants to explore the world and mostly solo. I don't like being dependent on groups. That is the case for most high end LOTRO characters. The Rift, character quests and some armor drops depend on groups. I'd like the world size to be large, the lvl cap to be high and maybe some crafting would be interesting. Its more of a distraction from the real world where I can adventure and immerse myself rather than power level. From what I've read on current MMORPGs, EQ2 might be what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

Oblivion and its add ons or expansions.
MAGA
EQ2 has more than enough content for you to solo to the cap, though you would miss out on some of the worth while group instances and quest lines.
His title said solo rpg
MAGA
My favorite are The Witcher and Oblivion. Although Gothic 3 and Two Worlds are cool too.
Yes, but if you take the title in context of the paragraph he wrote, you can see he's referring to soloable mmorpg's.
Yes, I meant MMORPG where other people play also. I was trying to find info on Oblivion. That's part of the Elder Scrolls series and not an MMO game? I'd still be interested but mostly looking for MMO.
I also enjoy soloing in MMORPG's. I solo about 85% of the time, but I'll group if need be. For me the best solo game is...Wait for it...SWG!
with Ent and Dr buffs you can solo pretty far. I just got went from CR36 to CR50 in about 2 weeks mostly doing Legacy quests. Since you dont want to group up the lack of Pops shouldnt be a problem.
The only other game I would recomend is EQ2. I played totally solo on it (before I quit) and got to Lvl 21 fairly easy. I guess I get bored easily and move on to other games too quickly.

Most of the F2P games are "Solo-friendly" like Flyff, Rose, Red Stone, Mabinogi (however that is spelled) etc.
