Are there going to be horses at launch???

I am just wondering if there will be horses at launch that you can ride? I have seen pictures of horses but I am wondering if you can ride them as soon as the game comes out.image

    On Release:
    Horses, yes.
    Flying Carpets, yes.

    Other class-specific mounts (elephants etc.), no.

    There will be horses for the medium size races (elf's, humans).

    Wolves for the small races (gnomes, halflings).

    Atm the dev's are figuring out which is best for the large races, ogre's, barbarians. They have mentioned rhino's, elephants.

    In a collection of new infos on the official board I read that at launch there will be ONLY HORSES.
    Wolves and other crap like that are NOT part of the retail.

    Racial mount choices are certainly something want to do, but they're unlikely to be done by ship. They require specialized animations, which of course requires time. We will have horses and flying carpets at ship, as I said before.

    wait.. so different races get different mounts? which race gets the flying carpet?

    Carpets are not race-specific afaik.
    They're supposed to be a rare high lvl mount...

    I am pretty sure barbs ride horses... only ogres and trolls get bigger mounts.. barbs might be 6-7 feet tall, but they still dont weigh as much as ogres and trolls.. ogres are just ugly, big humans basically :P, barbs are just more muscular from living where they live...
