I tried requiem closed beta didn't seem too fun lack of content I think the only thing that game has going for it is maybe the gore. I really don't want to start another mmorpg except Aion when it comes out unless there is something that really blows my mind like Aion did. I looked at Age Of Conan, but that doesn't seem like an mmorpg that much to me almost seems like your own little adventure. I have been wasting hours everyday playing Team Fortress 2 honestly it kind of reminds me of aion graphic wise. Do you guys think that aion looks kind of like a cartoon? I mean I compare it with games like the witcher and assassigns creed and it doesn't look that realisitic. why can't they make an mmorpg with graphics like the witcher or something? They sure made a beauitful world with oblivion I hope they can do that with an mmorpg someday except for the first person thing that really isn't the mmorpg style. I hope I don't realize how cartoony the graphics look when I play the game and get into it. Like team fortress 2 that looks like a huge cartoon, but you don't even care because its so fun and great.

I think ultimatly WoW will become the doorway to mmorgs if it already isnt > Right now I'm playing EvE online and i wil ltry aoc before Aion comes out then ill take unemployment pay and grind the hell out of aion lol.
WOW is doorway to mmorpgs, but not every mmorpg we see. Honestly I have never even played WOW or considered starting it in my life. Age Of Conan just doesn't seem like your MMORPG to me I did preorder Conan which is like the same people, but it is a single player one and they gave me a collectable action figure hehe
Maybe I am not going to try it, because I am afraid I’ll find something better than Aion? I will have to see the videos that people submit when it comes out.
I see what your saying but man its Conan I love the Conan movies which is the main reason why i have to try this.
I seen an Age Of Conan video how you can move your shield in like four or more differen't directions to help you with what type of enemy or player you are fighting along with differen't directions of attack, but like I said that just doesn't seem like an mmorpg to me.
I'am playing World of Warcraft... I'll probably play both since WoW is supposed to have the new exp pack coming out at the end of this year!
well i have an wow acc, in which my main char is currently trying to reach last black temple boss.. However wow is getting really really boring day by day, joining that my account has been hacked, uuush! xD
I am sure WOW is great seeing of the millions of people who subscribe, but I think games that get that populated no matter how many servers you have it starts to get intense to people who feel like the game is almost their second life than the gold buying cames, trying to scam friends, hacking, gitches just gets out of hand with that many people getting into it seriously.
/sigh, sadly, i will most likely be playing AoC if it entertains me enough, but otherwise, i just started an EVE trial, ans may be playing that, the release date is supposed to be end of october based on stores.
I am thinking of going out and buying FFXI. It finally seems FFXI should be giving a shot? IDK what do you guys think? I need to find a game to play until AION comes out but cant think of a decent game for a casual player like me
FF is definetly not casual.
Unfortunately Ephimero is right. FFXI is totally worthless for casual players. You'll need to dedicate 5+ hours for each grinding session(This is including a possible 1-3 hours of waiting just to get a party or start your own). Soloing is impossible after level 15. As much as I loved FFXI, it really felt like a test of patience.
Until Aion comes out, "Decent game" isn't in my dictionary anymore so I can't recommend any, sorry.

Don't waste your time with AoC, I've had access to this game quiet some time.. I played about 10 hours in total.. linear.. console-like.. Trash... If AoC is a mmorpg, I'm out. UO, EQ, DaoC, Lineage 2 (Pre-farm).. what happened..
I'm playing CoV, which is an arcade game more than a mmorpg.. I kind of feel the Lineage 2 bug, but I can't go back to that farm-mess. I'de say just pick up some misc games and try to make it until Aion launch.. Honestly though who knows when we will actually be able to pick it up.. Amazon is guessing

Yes, I am running out of worthy single player games on the computer sticking with command and conquer 3 online and counter-strike, if you guys are really bored get the witcher it wont let you down.

I started playing wow and I enjoy it a lot.
I enjoy it so much that it will be a hard choise to chose for the wow expansion or Aion when they come out...

this is lame.... dont waist your time with WoW couse that game have no point of playing. Everything you get good one day after ordinary patch will turn in to crap.
EL Lion, keep playing, i iht 70 after a year because of friends forcing me to, and then got bored with raiding constantly and such. Plus pvp is a grind upon itself, no point for it. I want to end this treadmill that is common in almost all games,

This is just my opinion, and Im sure Im going to be registering on the FFXI fanboi radar with this, but dont. I bought it thinking I would like to play it again... and while I do like it to an extent. The fact that you have to go hunt down the quests instead of having clear signs as to where they are, just kills my enjoyment.
As for what Im doing til Aion comes, well I have warcrack til the sub runs out in june... will likely restart it when lich king comes out. I have Mabinogi, and Guild Wars. But I just look at the sheer beauty of Aion, then I look at the other games Im playing, or have played and its like comparing a childs scribbling to a Van Gogh painting. >.> And then I sigh.
Just playing rappelz at the moment nothing special or so. Rappelz is a f2p game so no money spending here.
It's fun to play for a while but a level 120 it gets very boring at that point there are no quests left and you can only grind in the dungeons
