Have you guys decided on a class yet?

I must confess that i have read a lot about all the different classes available and there isn't one that is the clear choice for me now that Age of Conan is only two days away. In World of Warcraft i felt it was easier since i enjoyed having pets, so i went for hunter.
In AoC the pet classes are Demonologist and Necromancer. The problem i have with them is that the pets you get are funky demons and undeads, i really hate that! A pet should be a "real" pet or at least a robot of some kind, i'm not that fond of undead.
That being said i scouted around a bit for other classes and at the moment the choice seems to be between Assassin (i liked Rogue in WoW), any of the Soldier classes or the priests... I liked playing priests in WoW as they are a support class but i never really tried my hands at Tanks, which is why Soldiers are interesting.
Anyway, i just wanted to see why you good people chose the classes that you did.

Theres going to be no in depth analysis from me, takes away the fun of learning a character so i haven't even really studied the classes.
That being said i think i will go with the Barbarian, from what little ive read on them they sound like what i usually play.
Barbarian or Conqueror or maybe HoX, I can't decide so many good classes. I'm in turmoil.
Personally id rather control an undead or demon, especially since the game has a dark setting compared to WoW. Having a boar fight with you seemed kind of silly, thats just me though
Im probably going to go with soldier because I love tanking as well, and they have the best all-round melee skills I imagine. Hopfully they arent restricted to sword/shield to be effective, I really want to use a massive two hander.
For me, I decided to roll 2. A Guardian for solo play/exploring and a PoM for small groups and possibly a guild if I can find a small decent, generally like-minded one.
I'm probably going to go for the Bear Shaman class, looks like it has everything I like - melee ability, good buffs and healing. The class sounds quite self sufficient too which is good for soloing and pvp.
Guardian and a Bear-Shaman alt.
Dark Templar and pet class for an alt.
Barbarian all the way!
No alts, had too many of those in a certain popular game.

I'm torn between demonologist, necro and a ranger.....I really don't know. I like to do massive damage, have a pet that tanks....be usefull in groups...etc.

probably a Herald of Xotli, shapeshifting and melee combat is just the thing for me. And they belonging to the Set culture just makes it better.
Else it'll be either a Conquer, Templar, or a Guardian. Kinda melee supreme here.

Herald of Xoti seems kind of fun, with throwing daggers for max range on both melee and spells. But then again i v always had a sweet tooth for hybrids

Im going HoX as main,it,s like they made the class just for me ,demon form and a large claymore wielding class.As alt im going Guardian ,not because I think that tanks will be rare,but because I find the class fun ,expecialy when wileding a polearm.
Afaik,alot of people are rolling DT,ToS and Assassins.
I always wanted to play a Heral of Xotli since I first started reading about the class when it was released. But I am also looking forward to a Demo or a Necro because I want to try out the spell weaving part of the game. So I am torn atm but hopefully looking over the classes a little bit more will help out my decision.
Well all the classes are fun and unique to play,it's actualy kinda hard,id say go with a class that suits your play style,if you like healing and dealing dmg ,go Tempest of Set for exemple.
Necromancer all the way. They will be good in groups because of ranged DPS and pet utilies.
Unholy and Ice damage spells - Great
Undead pets and lots of them - Great
Lifetaps, mana taps - Great
Changing forms - Great.

One of the priest classes for a main, I'm not sure yet. I was set on a Priest of Mitra, but now I'm curious about the bear shaman...2 handers! Also the other priest.. I can't recall what it is looks cool as well. As for an alt if I get bored some type of mage class. Probably the necromancer or demonoligist. Those both sound cool. The herald of xoti sounds too much like a wow druid to me.
