im from WOW. I play on a PVE server. But enjoy PVP through battlegrounds. I don't enjoy pvp server due to griefing when your trying to quest :P
So serverwise is a PVE server the way to go? Can i still PVP some how?
And about classes. I love prot warrior, i hear guardian is the closest to it? True or not?

You can only have open PvP in Boarder Kingdoms. Think of it as a PvP server on WoW where you have to be in Contested Zones to PvP. And yes, Guardian is the closet thing to a prot warrior.
yes, there is pvp in some areas of the pve servers
