The boyo z not bad but uses to much electronics... notice that there is more sounds that hez actually plaing, wseen it done more than once. the best guitarist in ze welt... I DONT THINK SO... and before i get slapped by fat boys hardcore fans that i dont know nothing about music... i play bass... know a bit.
And if a toppic like that arouse why knot i place my bet... lets say `paco de lucia` hez better.
He's playing one of Satriani's songs and I think he's doing quite well.
I realize that there are perhaps a few people sick of hearing the Canon Rock stuff that just about everybody does nowadays but I couldn't help but suggest this kid because he is quite good and seems to enjoy playing a helluva lot. I think the fact that he's enjoying it so much and that it shows makes it that much more enjoyable for me while watching.
I find his music very nice. He's won plenty of competitions for interesting finger work on acoustic guitars.
Edit: had to fix the clickies
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
Maybe it's just because I don't like that heavy metal or whatever sound, but I don't find that kind of guitar playing appealing at all.
I like the sounds of guitar players like Johnny Marr (The Smiths'), Dave Matthews Band, R.E.M., or even Willie Nelson over that. It just sounds like noise to me otherwise. I like sweet comforting sounds.
First of all because I have lived in Central Texas my entire life, and second because he is in my opinion the greatest guitar player the world has ever seen. I choose SRV for my "best guitar player ever" entry.

Well while I agree, as a guitar player myself, What sounds "pretty" and what is "hard" are two different things. Playing hammer ons, pull offs, and arpeggios using both hands playing alternating syncopated rhythm, is a hella of a lot harder than playing a standard blues progression or power chords.
In all respect, I dont think there is such a thing as a "Best guitar player" They all have strong points and bad points, and to some people its not about how you play ,but what you play.
For example, Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin is good for the sound of the solos (alough sometimes live he was too drunk to play them properly) and then Herman Li is good at playing fast shredding and finger tapping but in my oppinion his guitar solos sound (no offence) terrible, but impressive since he plays fast.
Also, Im saying this as a guitarist myself, Effects pedals help Hendrix was a great musician but he used about 6 effects pedals live, and probably on recording too it costs to get the authentic hendrix sound
That said Michael Angelo Batio Is a skilled musician indeed, and he is definatly a great guitarist.
(Not saying any of this to hate, its just my taste in music)

Okay, but does the fact that someone can play with both hands make them default to being good at every other style of guitar play? It's just that when I think of a good guitar player the whole idea of creativity in composition and ability at variation on play style come to mind as well. AndI just don't see how someone being able to play faster than someone else makes them "better" either. Who knows how many times he may have just sat there practicing that bit over and over until it was habit to him. Kind of like a person memorizing the buttons to press in a course on a computer game. That doesn't make them automatically good at a random course thrown at them. Nor does it make them good at using creativity to develop their own courses. I bet there were better piano players than Mozart, probably even better at playing Mozart's own stuff, but I would call Mozart the better piano player because of all the talent that he encompassed.
Here's another example of what I mean by the whole playing fast thing. A person might be able to type a phenomenal number of WPM on a test. Yet that same person might suck at adding information to a spreadsheet or database. Both of those tasks require typing. So, would you rather hire a person who is good all around and call them a better typist, or hire the person who is really fast at one style of typing? I think it's more than just the speed. Much more.

I like that song alot and Keith Urban plays it well. I hate most country songs, but it doesnt sound like country to me.
I'd throw this guy up for consideration

When he was younger...
The latest one...
It's just fun for me to watch both of those. Now if I think about classic guitar and some of the stuff that people do there's this one guy
Don Ross

Possibly the best guitarist ever. If not, he was definitely at the top. R.I.P. Randy.
