I know Funcom already knows about it, and has been sent the cheat. I think they will figure out how to block this kind of thing, and ban anyone attempting to use it.
Made a alt just to troll more ? ... AoC bashers are either getting payed or are too afraid that the mature people in their WoW guild will leave for AoC.
almost all games have hacks. The question is how many people use them. I would think it would be a small minority at best considering funcom would want to adgressively hunt these people down.
The good thing about an MMO is that if you get a permaban you need to spend a lot of cash to get back in. Let them cheat if they want, but it'll cost them if they get caught.
All new games have cheats and things that can be exploited. Only times can get rid of all of them. I remember when i first played AO, peoples where hunting sharks from the shore, easy xp and no danger. Funcom fixed it in time.
If you port from certain cordinates to the other, the server knows that ain't possible and will flag you. In WoW you had these kind of things for the first months aswell untill blizzard started with there almighty banwaves.
Also these cheats are easy to make and has nothing to do with hacking since evrything is client sided, you are just sending wrong info towards the server.
I hate to say it, but I have yet to see a game that has 0 cheats. Expect more cheats in the beginning, but if you think funcom will sit back on these ...you just dont understand the business

The sad part is that many of the people who cheat don't care about money. I knew a guy in WoW who had 4 accounts, one character of each class and each major talent spec, he had bought or powerleveled all but 2 of those characters. He also purchased gold on a regular basis to buy mounts and gear and such for these characters. The guy would drop hundreds of dollars a day and not even blink.
The REALLY sad part is that he got caught, and they banned all four of his accounts, and all he had to do was email support and say "it wasn't me, I didn't know" and they gave everything back.
EDIT: It's the same reason item mall games work at all... the vast majority of us think it's insane, but there are people who think it's totally awesome that they don't need a subscription and can pay money to "enjoy the game better."
Head starts are primarily used to crash-course beta test before going truly live. Most of the cheats and exploits that are found at the end of beta and during the head start will (or at least should) be ironed come the actual live day on the 20th. You can bet the programming team has a list of these cheats and that the internal QA-to-release branch has most of the fixes. There should be a nice patch come launch day, Tuesday.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.

Well, i played AO a very long time, and judging from there i am not too confident

WoW had the same cheats in beta and some time after release as well.
In case no one knew that.

1- I think people like them ruins mmorpgs.
2- I think people like them needs a real life.
3- I think people like tem should use their mind on better stuf, really. Beause they have a great one.
4- I think the time spent in avoiding this program can be used in implementing another feature in AoC.
Sorry for my grammar and typos, english is not my native language.
Yeah i guess you are right, but still... many people are going to use it... and that means we are sort of at a disadvantge in the game
I think the posts on Youtube are actually worse than the cheating itself.

Me to. And i never saw any cheating. What level and class where you? Witch server and what name?
most mmo will have cheats made.....in beta
FC and there investors have spent millions on AoC.. So am sure they have a GM team that will deal with these POS.

Things like these are near useless.

No one cheats on a Funcom title out of Mere respect...

Torrential: DAOC (Pendragon)
Awned: World of Warcraft (Lothar)
Torren: Warhammer Online (Praag)
Anyone who cheats in these things to get ahead just wasted their money on a game.
If you arent going to play the game and instead just cheat your way to the end, why did you even bother?
