Content Update - 15.1 gigs

I went through all those mini patches and now its on a 15.1 gig content update, why? Ive kept up with the updates since I was able to.

15 gb patch, thats just crazy, im not buying this game, hell it would take me a year to get it patched.
Yes the full install is 25Gb, and the game has improved tremendously since it went gold. ... but it didn't get a 15Gb patch...
15gb is the entire client, something went wrong with patching. There are a few fixes for this on the official forums. You just need to rename the last patch and your good to go.
the official forums are gone and the new forum didnt go live yet. You have any idea on what I need to rename?
My client has been going to "Play" then just goes away and never starts the game. It did a whole bunch of mini patches.
So I ran the scan/repair thing and it found something like 15,000 errors LOL. I started the game back up and now have a 2.74 GB patch to download
Well hopefully that will fix my problems and actually allow me to get in game.
jesus christ 15gb game???? Is that a record?
Take a look at the stability of your hard drive? Maybe scan for viruses... 15k errors just doesn't seem right.

My computer is fine.
It's the number of times this thing has tried to patch itself that did it. Many, many patches have been downloaded. Not one time has it gotten into the game. It would just go away but still be running in the task manager, so after a lenght of time I would kill it and rerun, patch again, over and over.
I thought about trying the game DVD on another machine but not sure if that will work for early access.
It's ok, half done now. If that doesn't work I will try and reinstall the early access client fresh and see what that does.
so 10000rpm 70 gig raptor drives need not apply huh.
