Its ran amazingly well for me compared to open beta. Although I have noticed some of the textures can take a bit long to load the first/2nd time you see them. But that may be a fault with my settings. Other than that, all is going well for me.
Running amazing for me. I haven't had any of the crashes I learned how to replicate in the betas. I am at a solid 60fps almost always, and my loading screens are really short. I've mostly been in nighttime though. My entire guild is having amazing performance and that's out of around 100 people right now. There are reports of a shader memory leak that isn't too serious though. Overall this is by far the best MMO launch i've ever experienced. Bravo Funcom.
my friend, this game is amazing....i got it on LOW settings, just to feel the gameplay....this game on LOW has better graphics than EQ2 on HIGH bro, no joke.
Out of 10 guild m8s.. 8 of them are running the game flawlessly.
A 20% failure rate is a little high for recent successful MMO launches.
I'm gonna give them a bit longer to work out the kinks (such as the fact that some people who can login to the game are blocked from the official forums, where work-arounds are apparently posted), but I will not stick around till the first credit card payment if I continue to "black screen" everytime I enter the game.

comparing 10 people performance to a few thousand is not very valid

it was quoted to me once from someone good at statistics that 35 is the minimal statistically significant # to use as a comparison. of course the more the better but at 35 you will get a fairly accurate % representation. just in case anyone cares :P
ok, so the video cards not the best but i seem to play jsut about every other game at med/high fine - on AoC i get maybe 13FPS (see slide show) on EVERYTHING low. Truely horrible experience. and with everything on low the game looks patchy, and utterly horrible.

thx for the tip einstein . Tried it, going to need to get an 8800 minimum - don't try it with anything less.
was just trying to help...allort of stupid people in this forum....some wont have tried....anyway get a 3870 instead...its cheaper and will run the game at high setting great....
Just wanted to give a little input on my experience so far. I did play the open beta as well.
1. As of this moment AoC plays very well on my pc. once in a blue moon I get brief choppiness.
2. Load screens take maybe 5 seconds which impressed me. The OB load screens were running near 10 min hehe.
3. Graphics/sound XF are fantastic. hehe ecspecially when you put the final death blow to someone. And the graphics are better from the final days of open beta IMO.
4. Have not hit any bugs or quests that freeze up. Just got my Bear Shaman to 10 and the night time quest did not freeze once which makes playing even more enjoyable.
Its funny how i was thinking omg this is going to be a nightmare after the 3 hour delay, but so far my gameplay experience has proven otherwise. Can't wait to see everyone else popping on, on the 20th. And i also hope everyone else here has just as good experience at AoC and as much fun as I am having.
This is only my experience from level 1-10 and I know I have not seen the rest of the gaming world, but i have my fingers crossed that this will be my new home for a while.
whoever said a 8800 minimum is required is full of it. I play on an x1650 512 AGP. 20-25 FPS in tortage, 30-35 everywhere else.
Spend some time tweaking the game, and your system, just as you would any other high-demand game.
I remember back in 1999, folks kept asking me if I was stockpiling food. I always answered, "No, I'm stockpiling ammo and making a list of people who are stockpiling food"
