Looking at new computer: Is it worth the money.

Now if you don't want to look at the link, here is the gist of the comp:

Windows xp pro (media center) With reinstall windows cd

AMD 64 x2 3800+ (dual Core) 2x 2.1GHZ processors

3GB of Ram ddr2

Nvidia XFX 8600gt 256mb (factory overclocked)

80gb HD

It is currently at $325, The small Hard drive doesn't bother me that much, and I could easily upgrade the video card.  But what I am asking is if the computer is worth that much money, or would I be better off just building my own.  I kinda have a tight budget and don't want to spend more than $500.  But after playing in the EA of this game, it is apparent I will need a new PC.  MY current laptop chugs the shit outa this game for some reason even with low settings.  Any feed back would be amazing!!

    well the spec looks good for the money, but i'd be wary of buying a used pc, especially on ebay.

    it looks decent for 325 dollars, its not the greatest, but if you dont have a lot of money, you gotta get what you can. i, personally, wouldnt purchase anything from ebay, because i do not trust other people. so, i would say, yes, go for it. except that its on ebay. so, if you want to risk it, go ahead.

    I looked at your link and the price is actually pretty decent, considering it's including a couple of other items along with it.... the only thing I myself am wary about is ebay in general... I don't really trust the site tbh... but if you trust Ebay then it isn't that bad of a deal.

    kk, thanks for the input...I may consider it, sadly my current computer doesn't run very well.. not sure why, it's newer and has a decent setup.

     

    2.4 Ghz processor

    Dual 512 mb Nvidia 7900 GS video cards

    2gb ram

    vista 32 bit OS

    plenty of HD space

     

    Any advice on how to make the game run faster if possible?

    How well do you think it would run AoC?

    Also, If I were to buy that computer, any suggestions on what to upgrade?
