Anyone know a game like this?

Okay, i've looked and i have YET to find something that fits this description (damn you SOE for taking pre-cu from me!).

Visuals -  I don't need totally detailed, beautiful graphics.  I think runescape's graphics are plenty for me.  Still I would like something colorful and, if possible, not too earth-toned.  Also, I don't care if it's 2D or 3D.

Controls -  All I need is WASD or arrow keys for movement, the rest...i don't really care.  Oh, also, i'd like for the camera to be able to be behind, but a little above, the character, with some distance in between.  If not, if it's in an equally useful place, that's fine with me.

Pets - A big reason I play mmo's is so that I can get cool pets in em, expessially if they can fight with me!

Price -  I don't care if there's a fee, but i won't object to a cheap/free game

Vista - It needs to run with vista...I really need XP...

Crafting - I'd like a deep crafting system, but it's not a deal breaker...unlike that last one...seriously, if i can't play the game I'm gonna be sad.

Map size - I need plenty of room to stretch my legs in a game if i'm going to like it.

Things I will object to - Ultima Online (I met no kind people last time I played that)  MapleStory (sadly, i can't get it to work)

Hey Den...the closest game I can say matches what you want is Vanguard.  I played it for 6 months but left due to RL and other games.  It had its faults but what it had and what you are looking for is pretty close:

    Pets - lots of them

Crafting - huge options and mini game.  Main reason why I stayed on.

World - If you have the right rig its gorgeous, massive, instance free and you can roam a lot

Avatar graghics -  it is as you say, just behind and up a bit

I personally needed more from a game and the people I played with were at different time zones so I got sick of looking for groups to do quests.  However I did have fun with it and I played at launch when it was bugged to hell.  I hear they have several different kinds of mounts and flying ones now as well.  Flying mounts in the game are available for 5 minutes if you pay for them and its worth flying around, pretty amazing really.  I would recommend trying a trial to see what you think but you do need a tough rig to play it.

Not for me but does match a lot of your wish list.  Not interested in AoC?

I don't really know what the big deal with AOC is actually, do you?  Anyway I actually was thinking about Vanguard.  It looks pretty sweet, I'm probably gonna need to build myself a new computer for it though, unless I could run it on like, low.  Keep in mind, the best I've had on this computer was WoW...would I be able to?

Well I was running it with the following:

    4800 dual core AMD

    7600 GT 256 mb

    2 gig of ram.

Now I was getting around 20-35 FPS on around medium but the graghics were still great.  I bought another 7600GT 256 and hooked both of them up and the FPS went to 40 on average.  Since then I have upgraded to a 8800GT 512mb but I haven't played with this.

TBH you need 2 gig of ram as a minimum.  If you want to upgrade and don't have cash to splash out you can get very cheap CPU's and very cheap cards that would do a good job.

Also they have really fixed up a huge amount of bugs and performance issues so that will help to.  Vanguard had 3 career paths, crafting, diplomacy and fighting.  I did enjoy how I could go weeks without fighting.  I managed to build ships in the end and that takes time.
